The Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot has been a big ratings problem for ABC for quite awhile. Show after show has been cancelled. Will their new Forever series change that trend? Will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has cancelled Forever after one season. Details here.
Final season averages: 1.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.93 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Cool, they took a Tuck Everlasting concept and turned it into a show. Hope it is successful.
Caught the pilot on a friend’s recommendation – really enjoyed it. Much better than the dribble the network has been dishing out.
I love the premise. Why isn’t there more sci fi? And why do shows that have a sci fi element have to always end up as “detective” shows. do you remember the show “V”. that was great science-fiction. But they cancelled that. Anyway I think the cool thing about this show is its premise, and the premier reveal that his grandfather is actually his son was pretty cool.
V was crap. It was rightly cancelled.
Love the show. Hope they don’t cancel this one. I hate when networks get a good show and give it like 2 months and kill it. They need to give people a chance and make the episodes available on huluplus so people can catch up if they missed the beginning. That way they are more inclined to start a show from the beginning and keep with it thru new episodes. Please keep it. I love it
I LOVE the cast and if the writers are as good it should take off and have no problem getting viewers and keeping a time slot…
Stupid iPhone. That was supposed to say “The whole concept of the show.” Is it just me, or does iOS 8 seem to fail at auto correct more than 7 did? Grrr. Anyway, great show. Hope it has a long run.
RBSTN33 – The whole dying off then coming back is kind of central to the. Dry concept of the show.
As far as prime tele goes, “Forever” isn’t exactly the freshest idea, but it takes the best themes of its predecessors and does a great job fleshing out the ideas, on its own. Over all, I am really enjoying the show and hope that it enjoys a long, successful run.
At work we are calling it a mix of Quincy MD, Sherlock and True Blood…
Although I am leaning towards Forever Knight in place of True Blood.
It is really heavy on the Sherlock part of course.
I love love this new show!!! Keep it on air!!!
I am hooked! Great show and cast!
We really liked this one, too. Really keep us watching. And having Judd Hirsch in that show doesn’t hurt, either.
Needs to be updated/ renewed . Excellent show.
Excellent show. In my favorites.
Great show great cast! I’m hooked. loan is fantastic.
Great writing. Different show about time. RENEW THIS
SHOW.
A great show with an OUTSTANDING cast. I hope they don’t just continuously kill the doc off and have him float up gasping for air…………………. They need to use the full force of these great actors and lay back on the gimmicks. I like where this story line is going just don’t be too redundant!!!
