Fans React to the News that Longmire will End After its Sixth Season on Netflix
While Netflix has doubled the drama’s cable run, fans (aka the Longmire Posse) have actively advocated for renewal in seasons past.
In the fall of 2015, they organized a social media “stampede,” to petition the streaming service for a fifth season. Netflix finally picked up season five, on Halloween 2015.
Today, the Longmire Posse’s Facebook post reflects both sadness and gratitude. Because the writers have an end date, the have the opportunity to craft a proper Longmire TV series finale. Check it out.

We Loved all the cast, the plot & the fact that Walt & Vik got together!!!! Maybe you could extend on the continued lives of the cast. Thank You!!!
Longmire is great. It is not vulgar and is a breathe of fresh air
Longmire is one of the best shows in tv today. It is one of a few with a western theme which has all but vanished from tv today. It is not vulgar or for strictly adults. Please don’t cancel it. Thank you.
Please bring it back for a 7th season. Shows like this don’t exist anymore. Love the cast and storylines. More Longmire, please!!!
what a great cast and series I have watched it three times now and love all six seasons.. Bring it back for a couple more plenty of adventure writers could on with. please
Will I seriously never know what that phone call was about!? Give us a 7 we’re out here!!
WE NEED MORE LONGMIRE. WHAT HAPPENS…… DOES SHE GET TO BE SHERIFF? DOES HE GET THE GIRL BACK? WHO IS RUNNING THE RED PONY? DOES VIC GET PREGANT?
Bring Longmire back! Listen to what people are saying, we need shows that set a good moral example, that never gets old.
I hope that all the “Higher Up” people know that “Longmire” was one of THE best series I’ve seen in a very long time. There DEFINITELY needs to be a Season 7! I mean, come on! 7 is a perfect number! Please reconsider making a 7th Season!?!?!?!?
I want to see another Season, this really sucks!!!
The final season of Longmire did a great job of wrapping everything up and putting a bow on it. However, a potential “new” Longmire series seemed to be teased at the end of the finale, which I fervently hope comes to be!
