It seems Agent Carter is retiring. According to TVLine, ABC has cancelled Marvel’s Agent Carter after two seasons.
Set in post-World War II New York and Los Angeles, the Marvel series starred Hayley Atwell, James D’Arcy, Enver Gjokaj, Chad Michael Murray, Wynn Everett, and Reggie Austin.
Though a favorite of fans, the drama’s ratings dropped significantly in season two, earning an average of .79 in the 18-49 demo and only 2.681 million viewers. Comparatively, season one received nearly double that, with an average of 1.51 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 5.02 million viewers.
Additionally, star Atwell has moved on to another ABC drama titled Conviction, which the network recently picked up to series.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Marvel’s Agent Carter? Do you think it should’ve been renewed?
Another excellent show that has been abandoned.
Not only my friends and their children enjoyed this show, but even my elderly parents (mid eighties) loved this show.
It had such broas appeal – I have trouble understanding why so many good shows get abondoned and so many bad ones continue
Show some compassion and understanding and bring back this show
I love Castle. Please bring it back. I miss it very much.
I’m very disappointed. I love this show. Please do not cancel!!!!!!!
Can they just turn it to Netflix? end of season 2 tell that they have more stories to tell
lolol next shtty show that will be cancelled : arrow,dc legend and flash xDD
A terrible mistake in my opinion for a what was a fantastic show with a family friendly take on some of our beloved Marvel characters. Rubbish decision 🙁
The first season was amazing, but the second was lacking, in my opinion. New York was a better environment for the show, as it’s gritty background was better suited to the show. California was too bright and cheery.
So disappointing, Agent Carter was one of my favorite shows, FANTASTIC cast!!
What a pity. I loved this show. I loved a glimpse into the forties and watching a kick ass woman character. Clearly the 18 – 49 year olds didn’t share my opinion. Sorry ABC, but their opinions are not the only ones that matter. RIP Agent Carter.
