Despite a lot of promotion, My Generation stumbled out of the gate and now ABC has cancelled it after two episodes. If you were watching the ratings, this doesn’t come as a surprise.
My Generation revolves around a diverse group of young adults who attended high school together. While there, they were interviewed for a documentary. They reunite 10 years later and we see how their lives and expectations have changed. The ensemble cast includes Anne Son, Daniella Alonso, Jaime King, Julian Morris, Keir O’Donnell, Kelli Garner, Mehcad Brooks, Michael Stahl-David, and Sebastian Sozzi.
In its first week on the air, My Generation attracted poor ratings with a 1.6 in the 18-49 demographic and 5.2 million total viewers. That was bad enough to land it in fourth place for both categories.

For week two, the numbers were much worse. The show attracted a terrible 1.1 rating in the prized demo and just 3.815 million viewers. For the timeslot, it landed in fourth place in total viewers and in fifth place for the demo, behind even The CW. That’s an amazingly bad performance for a major network.
ABC has now cancelled My Generation and they’re pulling the show from the schedule immediately. Production on the series has been shut down. It’s unknown how many episodes have been completed but it doesn’t seem likely that the network will bother releasing the unaired ones.
A timeslot replacement for the cancelled series is expected to be announced on Monday.

WTF!!!!! BIG WTF!!! i loved the show they should have given it a SECOND CHANCE!!! SEROUSELY ITS BETTER THEN WACHING FREAKN GREYS ANOTOMY!!! the office is also a stupid show!!! bring back MY GENERATION!!! it was a good show!!!!! ABC SUCKS for canceling it! its the first 2 episodes wat u expet!?!?! give it another freakn chance!
I really liked this show! I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen . . . They show totally bring it back!
I’m really upset they dropped this show without giving it a chance. I missed the first episode but watched the second and raved about it the next day at work. Many of my co workers had also watched it and we were looking forward to seeing the next episode. I think they should bring it back for more then two episodes and let everyone else have a chance to check it out!

thanks a lot abc. I am so tired of getting wrapped up and interested in a show like flash forward and then cancelling it! I certainly will not watch any future new programs!
I cannot believe they cancelled the show im sorry that i dont have time to watch when it actually comes on i have to catch up on my shows on the internet all the time abc sucks this is the first show ive even been into on abc. it was real and i think alot of people can really relate if they gave it a chance it was a very good show. i mean seriously thats so stupid that now i wanna know what was gonna happen next and i wont ever be able to find out.way to screw up… Read more »
I agree with other comments – two episodes and it gets canceled? My husband and I both liked it – I’m bummed I won’t get to see what happens to these characters. ABC, you need to rethink this one.
I am one of the disappointed ones that was sooooo looking forward to the next episode. What is ABC thinking? They need to give the show a chance. It’s a good show with an excellent cast, about everyday people living everyday lives—that people like the veiwers can watch and identify with and get involved with so to speak……..
“Give the show back to us that enjoyed it”….beleive me not everyone wants to watch blood and guts and unrealistic hogwash….we are real people that appreciate real life and its situations.
WTF!!!!! I was waiting for it all week, and today… nothing!!! I’m so mad, they should put it back on right away, I want to know what happends next!!! That’s so messed up… just because they didn’t get a high viewing doesn’t mean the show was bad… that’s wrong ABC needs to give the show another chance….
Really liked the show – can’t believe they canceled it without giving it a chance. Its inventive and smart show – this is so frustrating!
I am really upset! I am sitting in front of my tv just waiting for MY GENERATION to come on and then 8 o clock hits and here is Greys Anatomy!! WHAT THE CRAP! I loved the show and I really think they shouldn’t have cancelled it at all. It is like they built me up to loving all these characters and wanting to know what was going to happen and now I guess I will never know. Sad. ABC you definitely made a mistake by canceling this show!!! ALL BAD!
I just found out this show was cancelled, super bummed, was really looking forward to watching it. Was talking about it with alot of people and now it’s over before it even got to start 🙁 It’s really sad when they have a show that’s actually worth watching and they cancel it, I’m over watching fake reality tv and reruns. Hope they get it back on!!!

Was looking forward to watching and found out its been cancelled. I think that’s why all new shows start on cable then go to tv. Really tired of them doing this. Bring it back and give it a chance.
I cannot believe that ABC cancelled the show. I enjoyed watching the first two episodes. I had told so many others about it and they were also looking forward to watching. I don’t think ABC gave the series a chance. Is this unheard of or what. So disappointed. Thankfully I taped the second show so I guess I will watch that again.
