One Day at a Time just debuted its second season last month, but will there be a third? Recently, co-creator Gloria Calderón Kellett asked for help to get the Netflix TV show renewed.
Based on the original Norman Lear sitcom, the comedy centers on a multi-generational Cuban-American family. The cast includes Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez, and Stephen Tobolowsky.
On Twitter, Kellett told followers to watch at least four episodes of One Day at a Time in the next few days to help the series get a third season. According to Kellett, Netflix bases renewal decisions on views and the show needs a boost.
See Kellett’s request below:
HUGE favor: If you want to support me & the show then PLEASE watch & tell friends & family to watch at least FOUR episodes in the next few days. Netflix decides what gets picked up based on views. I love this show & love writing this relatable family. PLEASE WATCH! Thank you.

I love the show watch 2 season and would love to see more. This is one show that was funny and I enjoyed watching .Please start taping season 3 .
I love this show so very much! All the characters are so relatable! There isn’t much on tv to watch as a family these days but this is a show we watch with our teenage sons! It’s an amazing show that deals with real life current issues and also makes us laugh! Please keep this show on the air for many seasons to come!! And more episodes per season would be a plus!!! Great writers, great acting!!! ❤️
I love this show, I watch it on my commute to work… it took so long for season two to return and now I am (finished watching all 12 episodes) please bring this series back for season three, four, five, six and so on…….
Hubby and I LOVE this show! It’s extremely funny, family oriented, real modern life issues. I’d hate to see it end.
