TNT Q1 2015 Highlights
COLD JUSTICE
Season 3 Premiere: Friday, Jan. 9, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)
TNT’s real-life crime series Cold Justice will return for a powerful and emotional third season as the show continues to have a real-world impact on cases that have lingered for years in small towns across America. Cold Justice follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and former crime-scene investigator Yolanda McClary as they dig into murder cases that have long gone unsolved. Working with local law enforcement, Siegler and McClary are helping bring about real results in real time for the police, investigators, district attorneys and families who have worked tirelessly on these cold cases for years. The impact of Cold Justice can be seen clearly in the results of the investigations featured on the show, which have so far helped local law enforcement secure 19 arrests, 10 criminal indictments, four confessions, three guilty pleas and two convictions. In the ratings, Cold Justice averaged more than 2.2 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery this past summer, a remarkable +17% increase over the show’s winter episodes. In key demos, Cold Justice averaged 838,000 adults 25-54 (+3% vs. winter). Cold Justice is produced for TNT by Wolf Reality and Magical Elves. Emmy(R) winners Dick Wolf (Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD), Dan Cutforth & Jane Lipsitz (Top Chef, Time of Death) and Tom Thayer (Hitchcock, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee) serve as executive producers.
RIZZOLI & ISLES
Season 5.1 Premiere: Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
TNT’s blockbuster hit Rizzoli & Isles, which stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as Boston’s top crime-solving duo, has ranked as one of basic cable’s Top 3 original dramas for each of the past four years. Harmon plays Jane Rizzoli, a tough-as-nails Boston police detective, and Alexander is Maura Isles, a smart, impeccably dressed medical examiner from a privileged background. Despite being complete opposites, the two women share an offbeat chemistry, an authentic and deep friendship and a unique working relationship, a killer combination that helps them solve the most complex murder mysteries in the city of Boston. Rizzoli & Isles also stars Jordan Bridges, with Bruce McGill and Lorraine Bracco. Developed by Janet Tamaro and based on a series of novels by best-selling crime writer Tess Gerritsen, Rizzoli & Isles is produced for TNT by Warner Horizon Television and Bill Haber’s Ostar Productions. Haber, Michael Katleman and showrunner Jan Nash serve as executive producers.
PERCEPTION
Season 3.1 Premiere: Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
TNT’s fascinating drama Perception features one of the most unique crime solvers on television, an eccentric neuroscience professor who is recruited by the FBI to help solve complex cases. Emmy(R) and Screen Actors Guild Award(R) winner Eric McCormack stars as Dr. Daniel Pierce, who possesses an intimate knowledge of human behavior and a masterful understanding of the way the mind works. Although Pierce’s mind may be brilliant, it’s also damaged as he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Rachael Leigh Cook stars as FBI agent Kate Moretti, Pierce’s former student who has recruited Pierce to consult on cases. Also starring are Arjay Smith, Kelly Rowan and LeVar Burton. In addition, Scott Wolf (Party of Five, V, Everwood) is joining the cast as a regular this season, playing Donnie, Kate’s ex-husband. Perception, which ranked as one of basic cable’s Top 15 series of 2013, was created by Ken Biller and Michael Sussman, who also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by ABC Studios, with McCormack also serving as producer.
What do you think? Do you plan on watching any of these TNT series?
I think it is a mistake to cancel Perception. The characters are interesting.
I find the plot engaging and not so predictable as other crime series.
They should reconsider this cancellation
i am really sorry Perception is cancelled… It was the ONLY
One hour show I watch… Eric is amazing actor I. This series
And the plot is not violent with graphic blood for blood sake…
You are making a huge mistake!
Just when the cliffhanger appears and leaves you wanting more they cancel the show. TNT is not the only one to do this. In my opinion , keep canceling and running reality shows and you want have to worry about the ratings. I want Dallas , Perception renewed among other shows you cancelled. Needless to say I will be watching less of TNT. Reality shows!!!!pleaseee enough of them already!!!!!
PERCEPTION IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES
I love the show Perception, it is a different show, love the characters. I wish the show was not getting cancelled, I am hoping another channel will pick it, if TNT won’t consider it. It is so hard today with all tv channels there are now. Perception is a unique detective show, not the ususal type. Please reconsider TNT keep the show on.
Please keep Perception on. There is an audience for these types of series. You are forcing us to watch Elementary! Perception is far better! We want more series. I can only hope that my voice and others have an impact on TNT’s decision!
Thank you
As I wrote before, Perception is a truly unique show with excellent acting and writing. I ditto the other comments and ask TPTB to acknowledge their audience. I watch networks like TNT in lieu of major networks for their original broadcasting; don’t discount your audience and its devotion to quality programming.
It is very interesting how shows are renewed or cancelled. Is it really the numbers watching , or some other criteria. I am totally confused and P*&*^^d. TNT, Please take another look at Perception , don’t let it go the way of Southland.
I enjoy Perception so much. I really do hope that the network changes its mind and orders more episodes. This show has such a unique concept, and therefore there is nothing else like it out there. Please, please, please, powers that be: continue with this intelligent, interesting, entertaining, quality show.
I can’t believe that another great show (Perception) is being axed. Why don’t they check out how many of the viewers want the show to stay put, hey ask our opinions and we’ll tell you like it is. Please (too late tho) keep the show on.
These are BOTH great shows — PLEASE don’t cancel Perception. It is a great show and so much better to watch then some of the other junk tv reality shows that we get from the “major networks” (choke). TNT is the best and truly a MAJOR network well above the others.
Please don’t cancel Perception. I love the show, great actors, interesting story lines.
I love both Rizzoli & Isles and Perception. I watch many police investigation tv shows and these two are unique an interesting. Please don’t cancel Perception 🙁
I really enjoy this show- please, please do not cancel!!
I enjoy watching Perception. Its different than other detective shows on tv.
Eric McCormick is a wonderful actor. Please TNT, keep on the air. Dont disappoint me and put other things in its place thats not worth watching.
