Season two of Scream Queens recently finished its run, but what about a third season? Star Lea Michele spoke to TVInsider about the future of the FOX TV series.
The horror dramedy also stars Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Glen Powell, Niecy Nash, John Stamos, and Taylor Lautner.
In the interview, Michele said she hopes there will be a third season so she can continue working with Emma Roberts:
Definitely amped up, but I really love getting to work with Emma, so I think that they should join forces. I just really love working with her. I think she’s the absolute best and she’s one of my best friends, so as long as I get to work with her I’m happy.”
FOX has not yet announced whether Scream Queens will be renewed or not. The ratings for season two were significantly lower, with the season earning an average of .61 in the 18-49 demo and only 1.445 million viewers. For comparison, season one earned an average 18-49 demo rating of 1.09 and a total of 2.79 million viewers.

I feel like the show should get cancelled because I feel like it’s not that good I mean it’s supposed to be a horror comedy but they mostly focus on the comedy it’s not even scary anymore, and people say there should be a season 3 but only cause they want more lea if the show focusing more on her it’s gonna be like glee all over again it’s gonna be all about her, I mean let’s face it the only reason why people watch the show is because of lea, which could possibly be the reason for the low… Read more »
I like Scream Queens and would like to see it renewed for a third season, but I would prefer FOX to revitalize Glee.
Me too. I am stuck watching glee on Netflix. Over and over.
Scream Queens season 3 should go back to the scariness and mystery of season 1. Finding out in the ninth episode who the Green Meanies were ruined the suspense of the season. I think all the actors worked great together and I hope they renew it for a season 3.
