The BBC is going back to the store for more. Huffington Post reports the BBC is remaking their classic sitcom, Are You Being Served?
The sitcom aired on BBC One between 1972 and 1985.
Created by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft, Are You Being Served? followed the eccentric characters of a fictional London department store. The series starred Mollie Sugden, John Inman, and Frank Thornton.
The series reboot will only be for one special episode as of now. Familiar characters like Mrs Slocombe and Mr Humphries will be a part of the remake.
The new Are You Being Served? is set to air sometime later this year on the BBC.
What do you think? Did you watch the original Are You Being Served? Will you watch the remake?
I REALLY LOVED THE OLD ARE YOU BEING SERVED BUT AFTER ALL THE STARS HAVE DIED I HAVE LOST THE VIBE AND WILL PASS ON THE REMAKE.
Love the original!!! Excited to see how the remake will turn out.
I adore this show. I named my cat Mollie. I have RUBSRVD as my license plate. I know it won’t be the same, but anything to do with this show is a must watch. It’s charming funny show!
It will NEVER top the original….but I still can’t wait to see how it turns out!
