What’s in store for Star Trek: Discovery? At Comic-Con last week, the cast and creators discussed the upcoming CBS All Access TV show.
The newest installment in the Star Trek franchise will follow “the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.” The cast includes Jason Isaacs, Mary Wiseman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Rainn Wilson, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, and James Frain.
At Comic-Con, the Star Trek: Discovery producers and cast revealed that Sonequa Martin-Green’s character is actually Spock’s adopted sister and Anthony Rapp’s character, Lt. Stamets, will be openly gay and have a love interest played by Wilson Cruz.
