If haven’t heard, ABC has cancelled The Chew. Now, the TV show’s hosts have posted their reactions to the network’s decision.
The daytime talk show features hosts Michael Symon, Carla Hall, and Clinton Kelly discussing current events, food, and lifestyle-related topics. The series premiered in 2011 and is currently in its seventh season.
On social media, Hall, Symon, and Kelly reacted to ABC‘s cancellation of The Chew, thanking fans for all their support:

I am sorry to see that this particular show is closing. My mother records this show and we watch it together. This is a show that makes me happy after a very long day. I understand your reasoning, but I feel that your true fans are paying the price. This show makes my day a little brighter and lighter. What is their “reasoning”? I don’t understand it! To cancel a great, uplifting, informative, entertaining program that includes all, teaches tolerance and educates so many? I LOVE this show and will miss it very much!
Well I shouldn’t be surprised! THESE people that rate shows are not right!!!!!! I loved AMC but loved the chew right away. People the only way we are gonna get it across to these idiots that we are tired of them taking away shows that we enjoy is to throw our tv’s out the door. It is getting close to a time when the only time I turn the tv on is to watch the news!!!!!!!!
So true! And they are just giving us depressing stuff. I’m depressed enough already! We need positive, educational, group-inclusive TV to bring our country closer! How do we convince these people?!
I have watched the show from the beginning and either taped it and watched the missed episodes late at night or on days off. DVR made that even easier to do! You will be missed by this viewer so very much. Thanks for all the great food ideas, techniques I did not used to do, and especially all the laughs. This is unbelievable I don’t watch much tv but I do love The Chew what is wrong with channel 6 what idiots decided to make that decision I would hope one of the other channels will pick them up I like GMA but please rethink your decision to take this off so sad
So sad the show is cancelled! This was a very good show!!! We do not need three hours of GMA!! Big mistake!!! Really disgusting we are forced to watch another show we are definitely not interested in.

Please renew The Chew. It’s the best show on air.
It’s educational, interesting & fun. The hosts truly enjoy working with each other & this shows. If you need the time slot, eliminate the view. The hosts push their personal agendas & are offensive. None of that with The Chew!!!
I agree with everything you said. I love The Chew! and they don’t yell and talk over each other. They are funny and teasing, but you can tell it’s all in fun and that they enjoy each other! An hour of no politics, scandals, negative news! PLEASE RENEW THE CHEW! It IS the best show on air!
I am shocked to learn yesterday that The Chew has been canceled, ending after their summer season. I have watched Clinton, Carla and Michael (and others hosts) since the beginning. While working full time I recorded the shows to watch in the evening. Now that I’m retired and a widower, I watch shows live to learn how to cook. Michael always says to learn the method and you can modify recipes to your taste. An “aha” moment. Very well said… I am also a long time, loyal fan of The Chew. What are these “business reasons”? This is ABC’s best programming? Why would you cancel your best and leave or prolong other less appealing programs?
I am truly going to miss this show it is my favorite daytime show. It is very informative and uplifting show. ABC made a bad decision here, GMA is not ehat it use to be and adding another hour is pointless. There are other shows Kelly and Ryan or The View which is not as good as the Chew that should of been cancelled. Very Very Dissatisfied with ABC decision!!!!!
Why add another hour of The View? I prefer The Talk anyway! The Chew was your best programming! Very unhappy with this decision to cancel The Chew!
So sad to hear this. I’ve watched the show from the very beginning, they are just like friends. The show is always uplifting and positive. I’ve used many of the recipes. Why would ABC cancel such an amazing show and keep the horrible View on, huge mistake. I for one will not watch another talk show, I’m sick of them…
Why cancel a great show I have watched it from the start and think ABC doesn’t know its a$$ from its head. Wrong decision, nothing on ABC to watch. GMA not worth watching . Will watch TODAY on channel NBC. ABC your loss
So very sad to learn of the cancellation. I work so I tape the show daily and look forward each night to sitting down to watch some wholesome programming filled with laughter, information, ideas, recipes, interaction and fellowship among the hosts, their guests and the audience. I love GMA but do we really need another hour of the same thing? And didn’t they try that a few years ago with Lara and Josh? The Chew has been a breath of fresh air….no politics, no bad news…just fun in the afternoon. ABC, you got this wrong! Come on, please reconsider!!

This is a great show and needs to be uncancelled…laughs, cooking, etc. No one needs another hour of GMA…not me…If Last Man Standing can be brought back, why can’t THE CHEW?
I agree with Katherine. This show is so positive. Something you can feel good about watching and as a plus you learn things. Whoever made this decision is who should be replaced! Food Network, come on down! Pick up this show. Don’t watch the other hours of GMA and certainly won’t watch this.
Absolutely ridulous cancelling this show Clinton Carla and Michael have carried off this show wonderfully and to think that they are replacing it with a third hour of GMA UNBELIEVABLE This show will be missed by manyIncluding me I got so many recipes and techniques on this show I’m heartbroken
I am so sad to hear that The Chew will be no more. I will really miss the the show. I have been through so many bad things that have happen to me. And just seening the show helped me to keep going. This may not make sense to you, but seeing their happy spirits and love for life through fun, food, friendship, and life, made me feel good. Goodby. Love you all.
I totally agree with you! It’s a show that always puts me in a good mood and enjoyable to watch. I wish the network would reconsider or another network pick them up! I don’t understand there reasoning on wanting to cancel The Chew!? YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!
