The adventures of The Musketeers will continue. Though BBC has cancelled Atlantis and In the Flesh, the broadcaster has decided to renew The Musketeers for a third season. The program airs on BBC America in the United States. Three episodes of the second season have aired on Saturday nights so far.
Director Andy Hay broke the news this weekend on Twitter, saying that season three will begin filming in the Czech Republic in April.
BBC followed that up with an official announcement: “The Musketeers has delighted audiences at home and around the world and we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to financially support bringing a third series to the BBC, with improved value for the licence fee payer.”

Absolutely perfect just the way it is. Love it !! I can’t wait for season 3. I have to wait longer as our cable company dropped BBC for some crazy reason. Now I have to wait for it to come out on DVD as I can’t find anywhere else to see it. Makes me want to pull my hair out!! Also my husband is a HUGE Dr. Who fan so… Lots of hair on the floor!!
It is about time! What has been taking so long for the Three Musketeers to renew? This show is the best on BBC America. Hope the same cast returns. When will season 3 air? Wish there were as many Three Musketeers episodes as there are Doctor Who!

This is my favorite show of all! I love the characters and hope they all come back. It wouldn’t be the same without all 4 of the original musketeers! Hope it continues for years to come!

Thrilled the Three Musketeers are renewed !! The majority of the quality programming on the major networks in the US are cancelled. I stopped watching US main network TV and have look for quality on other channels. Thank you for renewing this well written , directed , acted series. It is fun and sexy.
