The adventures of The Musketeers will continue. Though BBC has cancelled Atlantis and In the Flesh, the broadcaster has decided to renew The Musketeers for a third season. The program airs on BBC America in the United States. Three episodes of the second season have aired on Saturday nights so far.
Director Andy Hay broke the news this weekend on Twitter, saying that season three will begin filming in the Czech Republic in April.
BBC followed that up with an official announcement: “The Musketeers has delighted audiences at home and around the world and we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to financially support bringing a third series to the BBC, with improved value for the licence fee payer.”

My husband and I have been enjoying the three musketeers on satellite TV. I had no idea that Alexandre Dumas had written 4 books on the musketeers and I hope the BBC will bring them all to TV.
I absolutely adore this show. Thank you BBC and BBC America for planning another Season. I hope that there will be many more seasons. The finale for Season 2 was amazing. I have watched it several times along with all the other episodes. I’d rather watch the Musketeers over and over again instead of so many of the American shows. Loved season 2, prepaird to go into hibernation to reduce the wait to start of season 3.
I love this show passionately and wish not only for many more seasons but longer seasons than 10 episodes.
Love love love this show!! Please bring it back for Season 3. It has the most amazing men in television, the best story lines, the best period costumes, and awesome music. I bought the DVD’s and watch them over and over. I need Season 3, please!!

I love the show. It is so very, very well written. The plots have twist, turns, and surprises that keep every episode interesting. The show towers above so many american tv shows that rely only on violence as the theme in the plot. In Musketteers the characters are complicated interesting human beings as well as hard working heros. So happy the show will be continued!!
ABSOLUTELY!!!! If The Musketeers is cancelled, Verizon will lose a FIOS customer. It is THE ONLY show on television worth watching. I was fully prepared to cancel my FIOS and just go with Netflix and Hulu (as my son and his wife have done), but now that I found Musketeers, I will continue my subscription as long as it airs! It is such a refreshing break from all the extreme violence, sex, and foul language found on American shows. Thanks for providing such wonderful entertainment!
We have a 15 year old exchange student from Spain and there are very few TV shows that my husband, our student and I can enjoy. Most movies have too much sex and most American shows are too stupid to sit and watch, others are too drawn out and get boring. All three of us looked forward to each episode of The Musketeers. The music, the settings, the actors, the plots, it all is working so well. Thank you BBC.
Love love love the Musketeers is perfect the acting the costumes the horses are absolutely magical. I can watch the show over and over again the cast is absolutely perfection . Please release the DVD Series to bought in the United States Target, Walmart, Best Buy I can only get them in E Bay that is difficult. At those stores I can pick up Dr Who and other shows, please release the Musketeers series 1 and 2. I want to get all the seasons .
