Smith, The CW is hoping that The Secret Circle will have as much success as their Vampire Diaries, a series that also based on Smith’s work. They’ve paired the two supernatural shows together and only time will tell if the two-hour block lives up to expectations. The first season of The Secret Circle typically airs on Thursday nights at 9pm on The CW network.

The demo rose a bit this week to a 1.0 rating with 2.13 million. That was an increase of 11%. Because the rest of the network’s shows are doing so poorly, Secret Circle is CW’s second-highest rated show.

Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/22/11:
Ouch! What a difference a week can make. After a positive premiere, Secret Circle ratings took a big dive in week two. The episode rated a 0.9 rating in the demo and 2.12 million viewers. That represents a loss of a whopping 31% in the all-important demographic. It’s certainly not good news. Will the numbers keep dropping?
Season average: 1.1 demo with 2.58 million.
Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/15/11
Secret Circle debuted to a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.05 million viewers. The series premiere held onto most of the audience from the Vampire Diaries lead-in and didn’t lose many viewers as the hour progressed. That’s positive and bodes well for next week. Though it didn’t have much competition, Secret Circle is The CW’s best series premiere of the season.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the The Secret Circle TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This show is nothing like the books, which i have to say are much better. I keep waiting every week for something new to happen but it just seems to be the same thing and it’s getting BORING! The thing that makes the vampire diaries so good is that every week there’s a new twist that changes the characters and the situations. It’s packed full of action and the characters don’t spend the whole episode running around like headless chickens and not to mention there is so much love interest and so many love triangles that it keeps the show… Read more »
I love this show!!! I would love to watch a season 2..3…4…
should be renewed, very few series which are running on this concept..

I absolutely adore the secret circle, i tell so many of my friends to watch it! I haven’t loved a program this much since the vampire diaries!
PlZ>>>>plz>>>>>>keep the secret circle goin, the story is just unraveling, plz dnt take another supernatural show like you took charmed there are to little of them,un besides there story is still unfolding……let the series go on….
I lovee those same shows too! I couldn’t agree more!
Please please please keep it!
KEEP IT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love watching the sercret circle:)))))))))))
I didn’t think I would like the show but then once I watched it, I liked the way it was written and filmed. i found the casting to be well done and a believed it. I would love to see the show re-newed for a second season.
At first, I never thought I would come to like this show. But after watching a few episodes, I absolutely adore it! So PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL IT!
This show sucks, cancel it, i watch it every week hoping it will get better but no, its lame!!!
Why is it off the schedule? Shouldn’t they at least be showing reruns of the show? That seems weird to me.
PLEASE! let this show be canceled. The CW ruins every good show they get. This show is just bad and should have been thought out better. Charmed was a great show that wasnt about pretty white kids with problems. Come on how hard can their lives be? They have magic… oh wait they bound themselves. Stupid. Great premise good idea but completely wrong network. Is to much to ask for the CW to add at least 2 full ethnic characters to the main cast to make this a little more relatable.
