TV show description:
This unscripted series films the adventures of a fame-seeking family — around the clock for 12 weeks straight.

The family is guided by the TMZ “machine” which creates a series of opportunities for them. TMZ and executive producer Harvey Levin will help, and additional experts will be brought in throughout the course of the series to provide input and guidance on the path to fame. However, it’s up to the family to pull it off.

Throughout their 12-week quest, the family circulate through some of Los Angeles’ most populated (and popular) venues in order to seize opportunities that might come calling.

Unfortunately, I never heard Harvey tell the family that this experiment was based on the number of viewers watching the show. He always told them it only relied on the popularity of the internet (ie, social media) with his FN12 meter at the end of every show. The family seemed to have been under the impression that they had 12 weeks to become famous, regardless of the tv ratings. I never saw anyone on any show promoting the Famous in 12 series. Yet Harvey claims he knows the game. I doubt it….In fact, his first thing should have been to ask the family what talents they have and then exploit that. Instead, Harvey simply exploited the family. In the last show, NOW the family decides to try focusing on their talents. I only saw the dad DJ once, that dancing girl can’t quite dance, but the singer showed promise and the model/actress was starting out. Harvey, if you ever choose to do this again, perhaps your famous in 12 show should let viewers watch a family becoming famous because they have something to show and then lets viewers watch as they go through the process. Let us watch their achievements and failures. Then, perhaps, in social media we can possibly help to guide them. And I gotta admit that Taliah girl was the worst looking of the 3 girls.

I definitely like the way this family has engaged the concept and took the challenge. This by no means is an easy task to allow your family’s life to be an open book. I do hope this is a bad joke and find out it is not cancelled. Good luck.

Don’t worry, this is a stunt by Harvey and The CW for ratings, to get people talking so they can attract more viewers because of low numbers, next week is going to air because it already is in the line-up as a new show and mark my words they will sit the family down and the CW and Harvey will give them season 2 or extend this one, who do they think they are fooling. BTW, I can imagine that when this family stops people like Ray J and Mr Hart that they must look at them and say” Do you know that it took me 10 years to become famous and you want or think your going to do it in 12 weeks” yeah right. I give this family a TON of credit for the mountain they are climbing. Best of luck to you all, john from Palo Alto, CA

I love this new show & the concept, I just think with all the BS around Jameela and her attitude it kinda turned me off to the show, I would love to see a new family come in and rock the hell out of this show. C’mon Harvey you got this!!!! Over all great concept and great show!!!

I watched the episode tonight, July 1 and was stunned. The girls and their mom did so well at making connection this week and they just got slapped down. That was not fair to send them home early, when the show say “famous in 12″. So it isn’t famous in 12 but famous in 5. They had 7 more weeks to go to achieve fame and I felt they should have had all their time to see where they could have gone. Each of the girls have they own unique lives and they were on their way to the gateway of living them and it was taken away. How very sad for Harvey that he did that. This family will not give up (at least I pray they don’t) and this will make them stronger. May God Bless this family and I hope they do make it and all goes well for them.
