Magic City: Cancelled by Starz, No Season Three

Magic City special previewStarz has officially cancelled Magic City after two seasons on the air. The 16th and final episode of the low-rated series will air this Friday night.

“We are tremendously proud of the series and everyone involved,” Starz said in a statement released to Deadline. “From the writers, to the cast and crew, it has been an incredible collaboration. This was a story born from Mitch Glazer’s singular vision of Miami, the Magic City of his childhood, and we are grateful to him for bringing it to life on Starz. The season’s story arc will allow us to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the series, and we thank all the fans who checked in to the Miramar Playa.”

What do you think? Are you sorry that there won’t be a third season of Magic City? Do you think it’s a better show than the ratings indicate?

This was a very cool show esp. Jeffrey Dean Morgan-very hot/sexy..the look, clothes were like looking like a beautiful painting and Danny Houston was the ultimate bad guy…story lines were better than the Sopranos and sexy too..
….I will continue to watch the 2 seasons on demand as our ‘Kim K” and Honey Boo Boo shows keep rolling on…
Magic City will always be magic but the time slot and promotion of the show never was…
Starz has lost some magic and probably customers too..

Sad to see it go . It was a nice period piece with its vintage cars and 1960’s fashion. Women were pretty too .

Was one of my favorite programs. I am devastated that this series was canceled. It was exciting and one of the best period programs on T.V. The acting was fabulous, the story riveting with plenty of sex thrown in to make it tantalizing. Not everyone gets stars network which may have had something to do with low ratings. Well ratings are everything. My only hope is maybe some other network would pick this up. doubtful though.

Shame this series was cancelled. The best cast best written series I’ve seen! Please reconsider. These cast of actors were mezmerizing!
