I really think that the producers of Price is Right should definitely pick the smart ones who watched the show to COME ON DOWN and NOT the dumb ones who never watched it on a daily basis. The pricing games gives people much harder these days on every episode like Stack the Deck in which the weakest part is knowing the price of grocery items even if everyday people never went to a supermarket to grocery shop in real life. Another one is Switcheroo which host Drew Carey never follows the game at all and for years no one has never got all five right including a BRAND NEW CAR since the Bob Barker era. While playing Switcheroo if a player gets at least more than one right, a decision has to be made whether to keep it where they are or make changes to see if someone gets at least all five of them exactly right for another 30 seconds. Finally, Ten Chances is the hardest pricing game a contestant has ever played and there’s a reason why they’re very bad at it because people never seen it and doesn’t understand the game at all and looking at the audience is always a sign of bad karma even if nobody can help him or her and all three prizes including the car must always end with a zero aka THE ZERO RULE. One other thing, Lucky Seven is a very tricky game and the numbers on the wall could make or break their chances to win a car.

BTW, one of the pricing games I forgot to mention that host Drew Carey must learn is Punch-A-Bunch. When a contestant punches a hole on the board, Drew must tell them to not pull out the slip inside the hole just like what Bob Barker used to say when he was the host.

Really hope The Price is Right should definitely bring back the three model rotation on every episode for the upcoming season. They haven’t done it since Season 41 and having the two model rotation with Rachel Reynolds along with a co-model is still not enough especially when the others are on break. Mike Richards and his crew better make it right or fans of the show are going to be very upset.

    • Mr. Tran K says

One final note: if The Price is Right doesn’t want to bring back the three model rotation which the producers won’t have the guts to do so then ratings will begin to plummet and fans of the show are going to be very upset because they haven’t done it since Season 41.

Wish the models on The Price is Right should stop waving on camera because it’s been an obsession to them and a couple of reasons about the models is that they don’t have brains instead of beauty and they don’t zero talent and my advice for Drew Carey, he should stop wasting people’s time even though he talks too much and he should also stop mimicking the contestants’ body language. In my honest opinion, The Price is Right is not a funny show all because of Mike Richards who took over since Season 38 and he’s the most overrated producer in Daytime TV history. Price is Right still needs to rebuild the show and the entire staff continues to be ignored by loyal fans. If the show cannot be fixed then millions of people should start giving up watching Price is Right.

MY FAVORITE games are ‘TEN CHANCES’ (where contestants make me sick when they don’t know that the prices ALL end in a ZERO! HELLO! I guess they play so infrequently so that most contestants will be lame and not know this simple rule!) and the deal or no deal tribute game, ‘HALF OFF’ in which you pick a box after having chances to get down to just 2. I always hate when it is ‘RAT RACE’ instead of ‘TEN CHANCES’!

IF DREW CAREY leaves, and I think he is okay as host, not great, they will probably put a black comic on as host, because that is the par for the course now a days, they should pick KEVIN HART or CHRIS ROCK or someone.

    • Mr. Tran K says

Price is Right should put TEN CHANCES into retirement and there’s a reason why people are very bad at it because they never ever seen the game before and of course all three prizes must always end with a ZERO and contestant should pay attention and try not break the ZERO RULE. As for Drew Carey, he’s still not in Bob Barker’s shadow and The Price is Right will get canceled sometime in the near future if the execs at CBS Daytime better do something before millions of people are going to start giving up watching the show and ratings will begin to go down the toilet.

I have lot of unanswered questions on why people still can’t stand The Price is Right for all the very bad things they went through. Most importantly I really don’t know who’s responsible for setting up pricing games on every episode to make contestants harder and harder these days because the games can become your best friend or your worst enemy and also on the Showcase round even though it makes a contestant make or break them and they have to be very careful on what they’re bidding on and not to go over from the actual retail price and the best to do that is by using math if a single Showcase has more than just two prizes.

  6. Toland says

I usually do not watch The Price is Right TV show because I do not like the bidding procedure. It would be fairer to have ‘silent’ bidding – in writing from contestants. There is nothing fair about bidding $1.00 over someone else.

    • Tran says

Couldn’t agree more. The contestants on the show are nothing a bunch of brain dead idiots and if they don’t watch Price is Right on a daily basis, WHAT GIVES? Sometimes they don’t listen to you when they watched the show but the real problem contestants are not very smart is when the player gets help from the audience because it’s always a sign of BAD KARMA like it’s just one versus the world. If a contestant is having a really bad day when someone ends up losing a pricing game and/or in the Showcase round then don’t watch Price is Right ever again. :-(

    • Tran says

BTW, the real reason contestants bid $1 more over someone else is always CHEATING not STRATEGY. I really wanted to see a player get beat up, punched or get hurt by another player if they do that because you don’t want a contestant hurt his or her feelings.

  7. Tran says

Here’s my Price is Right WISH LIST: No more guest models. Bring back the three model rotation. Bidders Row needs a new makeover if contestants gets confused on what Drew Carey is saying. Models needs to stop waving on camera. Editors better not cut to the models during pricing games if they do something stupid. Contestants must go with their gut instincts instead of looking at the crowd. Be very careful on what they’re bidding in the Showcase round if they don’t want to go over on their bids. Contestants better not say HELLO to their family nor friends during the Showcase Showdown. George Gray the announcer better stop saying that stupid question “do you know that closed captioning is paid for in part by the following?”. Contestants better not bid $1 more than the other person bidding because it’s CHEATING not STRATEGY. A contestant must follow the rules during pricing games as well as if someone spun a dollar on the big wheel and gets a bonus spin. Change the Double Showcase Winner amount from $250 or less to $500 or less because within $250 or less away from the actual retail price of his or her Showcase is NOT ENOUGH. Rachel Reynolds the model better stop smiling on camera if her cheeks turns red all the time. Drew Carey better stop wasting everybody’s time because he talks too much on every episode he hosted. NO MORE MALE MODELS.

You’re wrong and you should know better than that. There’s still a million of unanswered questions why The Price is Right isn’t much of a success other than being a failure. Social media continues to raise questions as well and the entire Price is Right crew still can’t find a way to fix the show if no one listening because they continue to be ignored by non-Price is Right fans especially the execs at CBS Daytime. I still don’t know how long Drew Carey will continue to host the show depending on his contract and if they don’t do that, TV’s longest running game show will definitely end sometime in the near future ’cause no one can’t replace Drew Carey even if Rosie O’Donnell or someone else should have been a great fit to replace Bob Barker and NOT Drew Carey. :-(
