The debut was up against some serious competition and certainly didn’t come out ahead. It lost 40% of its lead-in audience from the special Halloween installment of The Simpsons. A year ago, FOX was airing the World Series so that’s not a fair comparison. If we look at last November 7th instead, the network was down by 33% in the demo (compared to an episode of The Cleveland Show which registered a 3.0 rating).
After one episode, Allen Gregory is the lowest-rated animated series on FOX and the second-lowest rated scripted series, beating only Fringe. Certainly not a good sign for the show’s future.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

This show is simply puke in your mouth discussing. What gives Fox… Gay dads? I can deal with that, adopted foreign children? check, little boy Allen has a creepy sexual attraction to a morbidly old and obese woman? OK fine if its funny or what ever, racist indentured relationship between Allen and trainer, sure I will watch…But do these topics make a show funny???? NOOOO WAY!!!
