This evening, fans are saying goodbye to the Beauty and the Beast TV show on The CW. Is the time right? Should the series be ending? Should the network have made season five?
On Beauty and the Beast, a beautiful detective (Kristin Kreuk), navigates her evolving relationship with a handsome doctor (Jay Ryan) who becomes a terrifying beast. Others in the cast are Austin Basis, Nina Lisandrello, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Michael Roark.
Loosely based on the CBS series from 1987, Beauty and the Beast has never been a hit show in the ratings. The first season averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.61 million viewers. The second season dropped to a 0.29 in the demo with 800,000 viewers.
In season three, the demo dropped to a 0.23 rating while viewership grew 10%, to 880,000 viewers. The current season averages have hit new series lows, averaging a 0.20 in the demo with 739,000 viewers.
While The CW execs are ready to say goodbye to this show, that doesn’t mean that the series’ fans are necessarily ready. What do you think? Would you have watched a fifth season or, is four seasons enough? If you’ve seen it, are you satisfied with the last episode?

I would love watch Beauty & the Beast season 5 in France Paris! I want to see Cat and Vincent living a new life and happily ever after! I think that people would want to see that too, Paris France is amazing location to film!

No, I don’t think so, I hope this will continue making season 5 will put on CW channel no need put on Netflix.
Not only would I watch it but I highly feel that we will get our S5 that we are so deserving of. The S4 finale thankfully ended in such a way that allows a continuation. There are many more stories that need to be told! We need to see VinCat starting a family, JTnT’s wedding, Heather and Kyle’s engagement! As always, this is now and will always remain the best television show and it’d be in any network’s best interest to add it onto their original programming! My eyes are on you Hulu and Netflix!
I would definitely watch Season 5 without any hesitation. BatB has been such a rollercoaster …one that I can never forget. So engaging….fans…cast…crew…Bring it back!

I think their should be at least close to a 20 episode season 5 because i think we should see their life grow in paris and they should have son named michael!!
Yes I will definitely watch the show, I only knew about it late last year and from then on I got hooked with it. It’s a really lovely show with a superb casts. I am really hoping that other networks will give them few more seasons.

I would watch the series and recommand it also to more than one person.. I am currently watching season 2… Unfortunately, never heard of it before.. I saw an Ad few weeks ago on youtube (weird) and decided to start watching it.. I think it just had bad advertising.
I am so upset that they cancelled this show, My daughter and I watch this together every week we loved it both myself and my daughter cried at the end of the 4th and final season as we knew there would be no more. I would love for another station to pick it up and keep Beauty and the Beast alive. CW you are crazy for cancelling this show.
