This evening, fans are saying goodbye to the Beauty and the Beast TV show on The CW. Is the time right? Should the series be ending? Should the network have made season five?
On Beauty and the Beast, a beautiful detective (Kristin Kreuk), navigates her evolving relationship with a handsome doctor (Jay Ryan) who becomes a terrifying beast. Others in the cast are Austin Basis, Nina Lisandrello, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Michael Roark.
Loosely based on the CBS series from 1987, Beauty and the Beast has never been a hit show in the ratings. The first season averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.61 million viewers. The second season dropped to a 0.29 in the demo with 800,000 viewers.
In season three, the demo dropped to a 0.23 rating while viewership grew 10%, to 880,000 viewers. The current season averages have hit new series lows, averaging a 0.20 in the demo with 739,000 viewers.
While The CW execs are ready to say goodbye to this show, that doesn’t mean that the series’ fans are necessarily ready. What do you think? Would you have watched a fifth season or, is four seasons enough? If you’ve seen it, are you satisfied with the last episode?

WHY I love love love love love love this show I have watched season 1 though 4 I don’t know how many times but when I found out that you guys aren’t making this till I die I cried you need to keep this series going until I die please make a season five please

yes, I love Beauty and the Beast. There should definitly be a 5th, 6th and so on. You have creative writers. It’s a shame it ended at the 4th.

Season five of this wonderful series needs to happen there were so many fans that I know of including my husband and myself and my daughter have been watching the series since I started the story itself is absolutely wonderful And keeps you on the edge of your seat the storyline in the characters are perfect please continue with this wonderful series

This was an amazing series. The characters had so much natural chemistry, all of them. This show included issues.
I feel that it didnt have the viewers you require because it wasn’t properly advertised.
I didn’t even know about it until after the series finale.
I hope you reconsider. So many really good shows are being cancelled. There are more of us with tastes I wish would be taken into consideration.

Don’t cancel Beauty and the Beast. It has become one of my all time favorite shows. Season 4 was so much shorter then the rest, defiantly need a season 5.
Please don’t cancel Beauty & the Beast it is such a great and wonderful love story it can’t be over!!!! I just binge watched all 4 seasons in 3 1/2 days!!!! It was so awesome. I could hardly sleep for thinking of the next episode.

I think a lot of people would watch season five. I would watch it, This show is a great spin on the 90’s version. And the cast is great too
