Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
My husband and I are very disappointed in the cancellation of believe. Great show and great acting. Did not even give the show a chance.
I am so mad that NBC is cancelling this show. This is one of two shows on all of television that I truly love. Believe makes my week better. I look forward to it every week. I am FURIOUS that its being cancelled! People obviously don’t have good taste if they didn’t see that this is a wonderful show! I love Bo and Tate! I love the suspense! I love everything about this show! My whole family watches it together which is really surprising because we usually don’t like any of the same things let alone tv shows! I am… Read more »
I agree I really enjoyed watching this show.
Great show great main actors . I guess not enough sex and violence
I think it a shame that they cancel all the good shows.
Believe is a very heartwarming program.
Garbage like Honey Boo Boo lasts for seasons. Makes no sense at all!
I’m very disappointed that NBC is canceling Believe. It is one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while and I’m shocked that they decided to do this.
This is a very different type of show that I loved watching with my family. They should rethink the decision to cancel. There aren’t a lot of family/preteen shows.
So sorry to see this show end – it was one of the better ones! Why do the tv stations do this? Seems to me that NBC is jumping the gun and not giving it a chance – it had a great story line, great acting, and maybe it just didn’t have enough of the sex scenes or foul language that seems to keep shows going. I think you missed it on this one NBC. Guess that’s why I’ll stick to ABC.
NBC just hooks you on to a great show only to cancel it, Believe was awesome! well i´m cancelling NBC..never again!
Why do ratings kill culture? Shows like Believe add a social richness to TV viewing; they challenge us to consider the difference between people and give hope not just that we can change, but do so for the better. There’s too little of this in TV drama shows. TV is not just entertainment, it informs our thinking. If the only things we watch are about the sorry state of existence, or competition between individuals at the expense of greater harmony, then TV is potentially damaging our ability to progress towards being not just better people, but better families, communities and… Read more »
Love the show believe….great actors/actresses, suspenseful, entertaining. Although it didn’t have the ratings that were expected I “believe” they would have grown. It takes time for people to accept the idea/concept of special powers. The actress Bo is captivating along with Winters; they draw you in. I think NBC has made a huge mistake
in not having a season 2 and then making long lasting decisions.
Believe and Growing up Fisher = two good shows and both Cancelled. Every time I find a good show to watch it gets cancelled. Now the only thing on NBC I watch is The Voice and About a boy.
It makes it harder to want to watch a new show when they get such a short opportunity. I guess i will have to switch to NetFlix.
Damn. I liked Chuck, Heroes, Medium, Merlin… all cancelled too early. Now they are canceling Believe. It seems like NBC doesn’t know how to hold on to a good show.
I know! NBC is horrible at keeping good shows! It’s obviously gonna take a little while to get more fans! It’s disappointing to those of us that like the show! I might have to stop watching NBC. The disappointment is too much…
it’s a shame that they did not BELIEVE in their show like the rest of us
I’m really disappointed that NBC cancelled the series so quickly, but then there wasn’t a bunch of sex and foul language, so it probably didn’t get the attention of the kind of audience that NBC wanted to target. What a shame!! It was a great show, great cast and could have developed into a really good show!!!
I watch very little on nbc but I haven’t miss an episode of believe turned my niece and her family on to it also very sad
I cannot believe that NBC would cancel such a great show! I will not watch anything on NBC again!!! They always seen to take off the best shows and put on crap that you can watch on every other station. Done with NBC!
