Fans of the Black Sails TV show don’t have to worry that the Starz series will be cancelled this time around. It’s already been announced that season four is the end and there won’t be a fifth season. Will the ratings improve in the final season, now that the show’s moved to Sunday nights? Stay tuned.
The Black Sails TV show is set roughly 20 years prior to the events depicted in the Treasure Island novel and follows the most feared pirate of the day, Captain Flint (Toby Stephens). The final season finds the pirates at war in the West Indies. The shores of New Providence Island have never been bloodier, but the closer civilization comes to defeat, the more desperately, and destructively, it will fight back. The Starz cast also includes Hannah New, Luke Arnold, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Tom Hopper, Toby Schmitz, Clara Paget, Ray Stevenson, Luke Roberts, and Zethu Diomo.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
