Was your favorite CBS TV show just cancelled? Odds are? No. The Tiffany Network just issued early renewals to a slew of new and returning TV series and Blue Bloods topped the list. That’s right, fans. The Blue Bloods TV show has been renewed for an eighth season.
A CBS family and police procedural drama, Blue Bloods stars Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, Marisa Ramirez, Amy Carlson, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Sami Gayle, and Vanessa Ray.
The seventh season of Blue Bloods is averaging a 1.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.12 million viewers. Compared to season six, that’s down by 4% in the demo and down by 4% in terms of total viewers, so the renewal comes as no surprise.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you plan to watch the eighth season on CBS?
You ABSOTELY must renew Blue Bloods & keep it going for years. It is one of the few programs I can count on for honesty, integrity, having a moral compass and making ethical decisions when faced with “the easy way out”! I value that program beyond words & want my grandchildren to adhere to those valued principles! Remember…”Family Comes First!”
I look forward each week to watching Blue Bloods. Tom Selleck has always been one of my favorite actors. I hope the program will continue for many years.
I love Blue Bloods and I watch each episode over and over.
Yes I enjoy the program. I like the diversity of it with a family aspect. It develops characters and shows the good parts of humanity as well.
I love this show. I’ve been watching every episode since the first and I have gone back to watch episodes again on Netflix – I am on season three and every episode is great the second time too. I’m a Jewish American who doesn’t drink so I’ve been challenged about why I like a show about a family who drink together (never to excess) and prays before every family meal. To me it just adds to the reality factor and doesn’t bother me. The character development has been excellent since the beginning and each new show has a great new… Read more »
Blue Bloods is the best show on the air. Please don’t cancel it. It’s the best since Gunsmoke.
Blue Bloods is my favorite TV show one of the best shows CBS has ever aired. It is a definite family show with values and good life lessons.
I love this show I watch everweek. I even watch all the repeats.
Best cop show I have ever watched. Really hits the heart of the law enforcement spectrum
I absolutely will continue to watch Blue Bloods next season and hope it stays on air for many more seasons! I watch the reruns every Thursday ,and know them all!! Great show about a nice normal family. We need more of this type of show with morals!
This is definitely by a long shot one of the best shows on modern tv! There are so few shows that you can watch with your kids around or as a family anymore. It’s like networks, producers, everyone wants to see how trashy and tasteless they can make tv! It’s no wonder most shows are done by their 2nd (or 3rd if they’re lucky) season! I hope it goes on forever!
Absolutely one of the best tv shows. Record it weekly in order to never miss an episode.
Yes I can’t wait for Season 8!!!
My absolute favorite show. I only discovered Blue Bloods last summer and thanks to Netflix I was able to start at season 1 and see every episode. I subscribe to CBS All Access and I am re watching every episode of season 7 since it’s not yet on Netflix. I can’t wait until it’s released on Netflix to start rewatching season 7, (well I can I just don’t want to). I hope that they finally get Jamie and Eddie together and keep them together and stop teasing the fans who really really want to see them finally get together. I… Read more »
Without a doubt this is my favorite show on any of the networks. I PVR all episodes of Blue Bloods and watch old episodes virtually every day. I’ve seen some of these so many times that I can repeat the lines along with the actors. I just never seem to get enough. I’d love to see a spin off show similar to what NBC has done with their Chicago franchise of shows, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Justice. These are quickly gaining popularity with me.
I am driving everyone just nuts watching Blood Bloods every single day. I have to plan my day at home on Thursdays and watch all day long. I love all the cast and have never seen a TV show as well put together as Blue Bloods . MARTHA from the Boston area! P.S. l have seasons,1-6 on dvd
