After two seasons on the air, The Bonnie Hunt Show has come to a close. The daytime talk show, featuring actress and comedienne Bonnie Hunt and sidekick and executive producer Don Lake, attracted a group of very devoted viewers but unfortunately there weren’t enough of them to keep the show on the air.
Original episodes of The Bonnie Hunt Show have been airing throughout May but the last episode actually taped was broadcast on Monday, May 10th. The guests on that show are actress Holly Robinson Peete (The Apprentice) and her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, and Brody Jenner from The Hills.
The series finale is likely to be aired again before the show goes off the air but here are some clips of the fond farewell.
Bummer! I watched Bonnie every day while being a caregiver for my Mom. Now, that I am going to be laid up for a while, I won’t have anything decent to watch on TV. She was so funny. She start laughing and giggling and the next thing I knew, I was laughing, too.
Are you kidding me??? Why in the heck would they take such a great hour of daily entertainment away?? The Bonnie Hunt show would make me laugh and cry and want to become a better person all in the one hour it was on. Bonnie got robbed! It is too bad. The show deserved much more respect than that. Bonnie I know you will continue to succeed in your future endeavors….maybe you will be back on since obviously you had a huge following. Love Ya!
I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED TO TUNE IN MONDAY AND NOTHING THERE. HER MOTHER WAS SO FUNNY, TOO. I HOPE THEY FIND A NEW SPOT FOR HER. IT’S A BIG LOSE TO US ALL. SHE’S A GREAT PERSON.
SHE WILL BE MISSED.
I am SO-O-O disappointed that the Bonnie Hunt Show is no longer in production. What a refreshing and enjoyable show it was. I didn’t realize that it had been discontinued until this Thursday when I wanted to view it on our local FOX channel. I am really sad and I do love Bonnie and I looked forward to it on the days I wasn’t working!!! What is wrong with our media when all they really want to produce is the seamy side of life reality stuff? Bonnie was one of those shows worht==th watching.
I’d give a hunnard dollars to watch Bonnie today at 10 am! As stated earlier, she’s gone because she had a family friendly show , not one that featured fighting and yelling. I’ll miss her, Alice, Don, and all her employees! GOOD LUCK, BONNIE!!
I can’t believe Bonnie’s show was canceled. I loved her. She always had a good show and made everyone laugh! I tuned in after a busy week (and no TV watching) to find Access Hollywood on instead. Who wants to watch that crap? We want Bonnie back! Shame on you for cancelling.
WOW JUST FOUND OUT BONNIE HAS BEEN CANCELLED ! IT IS BECAUSE HER SHOW WAS FAMILY FRIENDLY. PEOPLE WANTS CRUDE AND LEWD ! HOW SAD . BONNIE YOU WERE GREAT !!
I am so sad to see Bonnie’s Show off the air! Everyday at 9 am I would look forward to laughing with Bonnie and Don. Her heart for animals and all of the spontaneous inside jokes were so fun. It was so sweet to see her love for her family too. Chicago is my favorite city to visit, so it was so fun to hear her talk about growing up there. I really was hoping to be in her studio audience someday… Oh well. I am sure Bonnie will be great at whatever her next adventure will be. Thanks for… Read more »
Like the others who have commented here, I will miss the Bonnie Hunt show. She offered quality entertainment that is head and shoulders above many of the other so-called “top shows”. The cancellation of the show says alot about our culture today. I wish Bonnie and her staff well and hope that we’ll see all of you again soon.
We watched Betty and the show that replaced her with is ok for some, but it is not the clean fun and information that Betty Hunt offered.
Please bring her back, cause we are changing networks to find her. Not watching what was put on to replace.
Her name is Bonnie, NOT Betty! If you watched you would know that!!
I cannot believe Bonnie has been cancelled!!! I loved watching her show. They replaced it with a horrible “Housewives” show and Nate Berkus. I would rather watch Bonnie. Her show will be greatly missed !!! I hope she is starting a new project so we can watch her again.
The Bonnie Hunt Show will be greatly missed. As a male of african american decent, I was a bit reluctant when I viewed my first few episodes of the Bonnie Hunt talk show. I immediately found her to be very candid, funny, and heart warmingly engaging. However, not having a clue as to who she was I questioned the choice (network or otherwise) for her being a daytime tv talk show host. I quickly came to learn what an excellent talk show, the Bonnie Hunt Show was. The show was smart, funny, socially current, and most of all, inspiring. I… Read more »
I did not get to watch the Bonnie Hunt shoe unless I was off work, in my area it was on in the AM. When I was able to watch the show it was great. Bonnie was a down to earth midwest gal and that came through in the show. I enjoyed seeing Bonnies Mom on the show she was so funny with out trying to be. It seems that if a show dosen’t have people screaming at each other, telling a tail of woe or flashing skin it has little chance of being on for long.
I somehow missed hearing about this in the spring, and when I went to check in on Bonnie today found Nate Berkus instead…blech!
I became a big admirer of Bonnie after her interview with Rod Blagojevich. Her questions were intelligent and persistent and she didn’t let him talk himself out of an answer. She kept after him and showed that she’s not all cute and jokes, she’s a serious interviewer.
Bonnie’s shows were definitely a bright spot of some dark days. I will miss her terribly and look forward to her next project!
i can’t believe that ‘the bonnie hunt show’ was canceled and crap like ‘housewives’ is taking its time slot. bonnie had such a good, clean, fun talk show. i was in the hospital for 3 weeks and looked forward to watching each day. it is so sad the state of our entertainment these days and what people would rather watch on tv. bonnie will really be missed!
I agree with the statements already made here! Bonnie’s show was, smart, funny and clean! Finally something that my 84 year old mother and I could BOTH watch and enjoy. I hadn’t heard that it was cancelled until now! I am so upset. I don’t even think the execs know which shows are really being watched. I know NO ONE who watches half of the stupid things that are on tv now. Bonnie, if you can read this, I want to thank you for providing us with a terrific show without sensationalism, profanity and most of all STUPIDITY! I am… Read more »
