The following is the fourth part of a list of TV series that are ending or have been cancelled during the 2010-11 season.
For more, be sure to check out part one, part two, and part three of the listings.
Note: Go here for the latest 2011-12 season list.
Networks and cable channels have different ideas of when a season starts or ends but, to us, it makes sense to start the season on June 1, 2010 and and it on May 31, 2011. In some cases, the last episode of a show aired earlier than these dates but the network didn’t get around to canceling the series until later. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, try the 2008–2009 page, the 2009–2010 listings.
Scoundrels (ABC)
Airing over the summer, this TV show performed even worse than its sister show, The Gates. All seven episodes have aired and there won’t be any more.
Shaq Vs (ABC) NEW
This reality series pits the star athlete against other stars in their own fields of expertise. It ran for two seasons and 10 episodes but is now done.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Showtime) NEW
Star and executive producer Billie Piper signed a deal for the fourth and final season of this UK series. They’ll begin airing on Showtime on April 7th.
Skating with the Stars (ABC)
Essentially an on-ice version of Dancing with the Stars, this reality series was not a hit in the ratings and won’t be back for season two.
Smallville (The CW)
After 10 seasons, it looks like Clark Kent will finally become Superman. Will we get to see the man of steel slip on the familiar blue and red tights before the end? We’ll have to wait and see.
Stargate Universe (Syfy)
The most recent member of the Stargate franchise hasn’t attracted as many fans as the previous series. Syfy has cancelled the show and all of the episodes have now aired. Producers and MGM are looking at possible ways to continue the series in some way.
The Suite Life on Deck (Disney) NEW
After two series, it looks like Mr. Moseby is finally getting a rest. Mr. Tipton sells the ship and Cody, Zack, London, Bailey, and Woody graduate.
Supernanny (ABC)
Nanny Jo Frost announced that she wanted to end the series so that she can start a family of her own. The finale aired on March 18, 2011.
Terriers (FX)
Though many viewers and critics loved it, this series never caught on in a big way. FX aired all 13 episodes but there won’t be any more.
Traffic Light (FOX) NEW
This sitcom got poor ratings right out of the gate and they went lowers as the weeks went on. FOX has cancelled it after 13 episodes and one season.
True Beauty (ABC) NEW
Contestants on this reality show believe that they’re competing in a contest of external appearance and talents but they’re actually being judged on their inner beauty. It lasted 16 episodes and two seasons.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) NEW
This sitcom revolves around the Payne family who live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. With 222 episodes, it’s the second-longest running US sitcom with an African-American cast (behind The Jeffersons).
Undercovers (NBC)
An action-comedy series that revolves around a husband and wife spy duo never really got off the ground. The peacock network has decided against ordering anymore episodes, effectively cancelling the TV show.
V (ABC) NEW
The alphabet network renewed the serial despite lackluster ratings. Season two did even worse so the cancelled it. Sorry Visitors!
United States of Tara (Showtime) NEW
The ratings had been sliding for quite awhile so the cable channel decided not to order a fourth season.
The Whole Truth (ABC)
This legal series starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney had lousy premiere numbers and the ratings seemed to sink lower every week. It’s not known if the network will get around to airing all of the episodes.
Working Class (CMT)
The cable channel’s first sitcom had a great start but the ratings dropped too low for it to get renewed. The last episode aired on April 1st.

What do you think? Are there any shows on this list that you’ll particularly miss?
I am very sad to hear Lie To Me was canceled. That was one of my absolute favorite shows. I looked forward to it every week. Tim Roth is a great actor and show really had something to it. I wish another channel had picked it up. Human Target was another show I liked, no where near the likes of Lie To Me but still a decent show.
I was disappointed in the writing for Law & Order: LA…was hoping it would improve,
still watch the orginal reruns on TNT- excellent for 20 years!
Not surprised that Sisters & Brothers bit the dust. A good show until the last 2 seasons with the women getting sillier and sillier.
Love Tyler Perry but glad to see House of Payne go…the father was TOO stupid.
Human Target! Coolest show.
It’s a shame to see Friday Night Lights, Detroit 187, Chase, Brothers and Sisters, Rubicon, Off the Map, The Closer and The Defenders go. The character development in these shows was good, acting good and story lines had good direction and depth. I hate seeing all the reality shows coming on. They are such an insult to one’s intelligence. I am amazed at the lack of interest in good drama and humor now days.
Wish they had less tv series, but better ones. Like HBO stuff. Plan for shorter seasons, make them better quality, and plan for an ending to the story. Just in case. Very frustrating to have no ending (like The Cape). meh.
I really n joyed lights out, better with you,off the map,mad love, other guys,it seems like every time a good show comes on, the networks jerks it off the air everytime. If it dont have a lot of profanity in the shows most of the time everyboby having sex .
and every body having multiple partners.but you dont see anyof the shows cancelled. If the show has any value to it gets cancelled.
The writers screwed up on Brothers and Sisters by letting go of the winery. Now we get screwed because they cancelled the show. Everyone I know watches Brothers and Sisters. Now what will they put after Desperate Housewives? Watch it be some stupid shoot-em up piece of junk. I hate this time of the year when you watch great shows go down the tubes.
I will miss all the great actors that I fell in love watching on: Chicago Code, Human Target, Off the Map and Detroit 187. I will miss you and I will continue to look for your names and faces in new and improved TV projects……….:)
My husband and I will really miss the defenders, Human Target and Off the Map. I will miss Stargate Universe. It is hard to find good shows that aren’t all sex and drugs, Though Off the Map could qualify for that one. I guess it’s on to stupid reality shows and more violance. Guess I will quit watching. Nothing better than a good book.
I’ll miss lie to me and good guys
I will miss Detroit 187, The Chicago Code, and Human Target. Law Enforcement will probably miss “Most Wanted”.
I will miss Chicago Code, Detroit 187, Lights Out, Brothers & Sisters, and The Closer (spin off will not be the same without Kyra)!
I will miss Detroit 187, Chicago Code, Lights Out and Brothers and Sisters
My husband and I really enjoyed Human Target. I will also miss
Off The Map-I really enjoyed it.
I will miss chase, chicago code, human target, the defenders, hellcats, no ordinary family and human target . I wish they didn’t have to go. But what can you do about everyone seems to want to watch all those stupid reality tv shows. And they put all the good show on late for all of us that go to work early in the morning cant stay up and watch them.
