The world of celebrity is built on charisma, beauty and infatuation. Celebrities themselves often become so influential that even their day-to-day lives make front-page news so when misfortune strikes and the facts don’t quite add up, the public is immediately fascinated by the unknown. Case Closed with AJ Benza examines the prevalent theories tied to each story presenting new and old evidence as well as first-person accounts from family members, eyewitnesses and experts with the aim of uncovering the truth and closing the case.
As a former New York Daily News gossip columnist, AJ Benza made a commitment to uncovering all of the secrets celebrities want kept out of the spotlight. In 1997, Benza left New York City for Los Angeles to host Mysteries & Scandals for five years, solidifying his role as the ultimate Hollywood insider. Benza is also the author of Fame, Ain’t it a Bitch – a free-wheeling account of his rise and fall as a New York City newspaper columnist. His most recent memoir, 74 and Sunny, was published last July. He’s also had key roles in several movies including Ransom, P.S. Your Cat is Dead, Conspiracy Theory and Rocky Balboa.

What do you think? Do you like the sound of the Case Closed with AJ Benza TV series? Which celebrity mysteries would you like to see featured on the show?
Please explain regarding Marilyn Monroe episode, who locked the door. Marilyn? After taking or forced to take all those pills. The doctor had to break a window to access her bedroom. The maid found her bedroom door locked? This doesn’t make sense.
Are you kidding me ? There was no new info on this show about OJ Simpson , you never said anything about the male nurse testifying that he definitely drew 8CC’s of blood. He said under oath that he did this all the time so people would not have to k in case they needed more blood for testing . Well who would not say they made a mistake saying 8 when they are going to retire after 30… Read more »
This show is a joke. No new information on any of the cases and he always agrees with the findings of previous reports or simply states that there isn’t enough evidence to know.
I like Case Closed with AJ Benza.

Couldn’t agree more. Benza is a total joke. Must have been cheap
Use to watch this….and it’s a great show…lots of info that you will never get anywhere else. Benza is a hard hitting reporter, that spares no one.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Blue Note. What was the name of the earlier series you used to watch (this is a new one)?
In 1997, Benza left New York City for Los Angeles to host Mysteries & Scandals for five years, solidifying his role as the ultimate Hollywood insider.
I wondered what happened to him. I used to watch his other show, too. And I’ll tune in to the new one also. Hah… there are a lot of people in D.C. that he should investigate… maybe we’d finally get some answers to our questions.
