NBC rounded out their Monday night schedule with a new cop series, Chase. Police shows have performed very well for the networks for years but how did this one perform? Is it a keeper or will it be quickly cancelled?
Chase follows US Marshall Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) as she heads up the Houston Enforcement & Apprehension Task Force. Annie and her team (played by Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Rose Rollins, and Jesse Metcalfe) hunt down America’s most dangerous fugitives.

The premiere garnered a disappointing 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million viewers. That put Chase in third (last) place in both categories. It lost a significant number of viewers from lead-in The Event — 36% of the demo and 33% of total viewers. It also lost about 15% of viewers in the demo between the start and finish of the episode.
While this is much better than last year’s The Jay Leno Show, this mediocre start doesn’t bode well for Chase’s future. If the ratings decline in week two, as they typically do for new shows, it could be in real trouble.
Based on this performance alone, it seems unlikely that NBC would bother ordering any episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
So, what do you think? Is Chase worth watching? Do you like the show or should it just be cancelled?

my husband and I enjoy the program and we hate to see if cancelled.I think you should keep on the air
Yes, they should keep it on the air! Chase (Annie) was a refreshing show that was entertaining with a good cast. We were so disappointed we could not find it on that Monday night and even looked for it the next couple nights thinking it might have been moved….. The Event nor Hawaii 50 are in the competition!
Please bring it back!!!!
I love this show and that says a lot. Cop shows are usually the same boring story line with the same predictable characters. Chase is different, it gets my attention and keeps my attention. I’ve been telling everyone I know to watch the show. I hope NBC brings it back or lose me for good ~ especially since there isn’t anything else on NBC worth watching.
This show is awesome you need to keep it, all these stupid and retarded reality shows are what need to go because all these do is take up airtime where good shows like Chase should be slotted. So NBC you need to realize that this is a keeper and do not cancel it PLEASE!!
Keep it. It is very good. I have not been able to find it the last couple of weeks. I am very disappointed.
Goodbye NBC, hello CBS.
We loved the show and were so disappointed when it wasn’t on on Monday night. We searched the guide trying to find and realized that so some reason it was canceled. You have many reality shows you could cancel instead to suit us.
I too love Chase. It is smartly acted, has credible and interesting characters. I have found that stations that didn’t hang on to shows like Moonlight with Alex O’Loughlin and Veronica Mars with Kristin Bell, have abslolutely no business running programming!
I am so thoroughly disappointed that Chase is no longer on. I don’t like Hawaii Five-O, and feel I am forced to watch that because of the lack of choices on Monday night. What the heck is the network thinking??? Or was it a political decision bought out by by execs of Hawaii Five-O? If they remove the good competition, they win; pretty much by default. What a joke!
Definitely keep it. One of the better police shows in a long time — and the casting is great. Very smart oustside-the-box thinking to put Kelli Giddish in the lead. But should move it to a different day. Hawaii Five-O is a well-known brand. Hard to compete against.
I love the show and I also was disappointed when it was not televised on 12/20/10. Also, was suprised that the 12/13/10 show was a rerun. Maybe a new time zone would benefit this show. Loved all the characters and their close relationships – almost like a family. It is the type of show we need on TV.
I LOVE THE SHOW! I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED TONIGHT MONDAY(12-20-10) WHEN IT DIDNT COME ON. I THOUGHT I HAD AUTO TUNED THE TV ON THE WRONG CHANNEL. I SO HATED THAT.I STAY HOME JUST TO WATCH THAT SHOW EVERY WEEK.I VOTE TO KEEP IT;I LOVE IT……….
I want NBC to keep it. I think the audience will grow because the competition, Hawaii 50 just doesn’t grab me, and I think it won’t grab a lot of other people too.
I think the show is great—especially Annie –she is a winner—keep it–=keep it keep it and get rid of some of the other CRAP that has been airing for years–whose watching that junk??a bunch of idiots??
I love this show and i think NBC has a winner. I believe it needs a better time slot. The stories are well written & Annie is great! All the actors are great. If
it takes place in Texas, u can’t lose. I watched 5.0 1 time, that was enough for me.
