Rob Lowe is trading in the courtroom for the hospital. TVLine has released a first look of the former Grinder star in season two of Code Black.
The CBS drama takes place in a Los Angeles ER where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressures on its staff. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Raza Jaffrey, Bonnie Somerville, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Luis Guzman.
In season two, Lowe will play Dr. Ethan Willis, “a seasoned combat surgeon who is coming off a stint in war-ravaged Afghanistan.”
From series creator Michael Seitzman:
Two of Rob’s many remarkable qualities are the same traits we needed in Willis. He makes you want to know him and at the same time makes you feel you’ve known him your whole life.”
Season two of Code Black premieres on September 28th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

What do you think? Have you seen Code Black? Will you watch season two?
GREAT GREAT SHOW. Keep going and renew forever. love love love it!!
whoo hoo!!!
LOVED Code Black right from Day 1. Rob Lowe WOW way to start off “Second Year” He was BEYOND Awesome!! LOVE him!! Keep it coming…FAVE series ever!!
Why in the world would you take off the two lead players in the wonderful medical drama. Everyone we spoke to loved this show with Neal and Krista! Please consider bringing them back on! The younger girls are too immature on the show to drum up any interest. They were NOT the lead storyline last year! Leave the great actors/actresses on the show and just improve the cast. Keep rotating new younger interns and residents through, but you have to keep some anchors or the show will not make it!
This is my favorite show. It keeps me on the edge of my seat because it is so fast moving and dramatic. PLEASE keep it on.
I do not like Rob Lowe’s acting. Every character he plays is “Rob Lowe’s” with a different name. Everything about him makes my skin crawl. A totally unbelievable actor!!! Let me guess all the ladies will be panting after him and now this good show will be cheapened by his presence.
I watched this show faithfully in season one. Now, I don’t think I want to be vomiting for an hour each week!!!
Count me out!!!!!!!!
oh come on….are you serious???? He was SO fantastic as was the rest of the cast. And FYI so wasn’t “panting” at ANY time…might have been his BRILLIANT acting and not your pathetic “cliche” women comment over a man who CAN act, get us to LOVE his character, an OH just happens to be good -looking!! I and many others WON”T be vomiting over him or this kick ass show but comments like yours will make us vomit!! GET A GRIP!! COUNT ME IN!!
Code black extremely fantastic great series
