The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

Colony was total crap, they had no idea where the show was headed. Ratings were so bad it was a matter of time regardless, and no other network will be dumb enough to pick it up. I really wanted to like the show as I am a true science fiction fan but I just couldn’t. They squandered a great oppurtunity as the premise had potential It went nowhere in the 3 seasons it had and even the finale sucked. Colony is not about that pew-pew-pew space robot laser ****, it, as said below, “kept a focus on reality and humanity’s fate in the face of overwhelming odds” where the nature of mentioned odds matters less than nothing.
Just found out about this show and just finished season 2. Maybe the reason that the ratings are low is because it was poorly advertised. The one thing I hate about networks is the people/fans who watch your shows are left dissatisfied. Why not commit to a finale.
Love the show. Hope you reconsider or get another network to pick it up.

Why in the world would I ever want to watch any other series on the USA network when they cancel a series and just leave the fans hanging like this? There is nothing worse. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Screw the USA network. Yes, I’m angry… and frustrated.

Absolutely! I totally agree! When it ended we were waiting for previews for the next one. Then saw it was the series finale. Had to read it twice to understand it wasn’t the season finale! Too much left unresolved!
Omg Zob I agree . USA cancelled royal pains , I loved that show . Networks don’t take into account that is viewers make them successful and $$$$$. So disheartening getting involved in a show and then someone without connection to it cancelled it. It should at least have a proper ending .

After taking us to a massive and epic war, which we all have been waiting for, and the outcome for mankind, the producers have just walked way. What a missed opportunity to cap this off as perhaps the best sci fi series ever produced which kept a focus on reality and humanity’s fate in the face of overwhelming odds. Much more believable than the fiction of Star Trek and others that have gone before. Yet again, a premature decision to end a fantastic series followed by millions across the globe. I liked the series and really wanted to know what happened. But from they killed Charlie I knew it was the end. Sad that after everything that family went through they didn’t get a happy ending and so many things are unanswered sigh… It seems to be good never pays in “makebelieve” land. Hope they consider season 4.
