The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

I just finished binging 3 seasons of Colony, only to find out they are not following up with a 4th season. What a let down! I hope Netflix picks it up and at least gives us one more season. It was such a well acted show with an intriguing story line.

So many fans are disappointed with the abrupt ending of the Colony. Maybe some other TV network will pick it up and have an incredible 4th season which would allow the writers to tie up so many loose ends in the storyline. Please someone.

Should be renewed. Leaving fans hanging without a real conclusion is just wrong. I will steer away from USA Network shows in the future for this reason however I do realize they have a business to run. They must remember who the client really is and adjust to ensure an approach that takes care of them. There are many options available…..all series should have a bonafide conclusion. The networks owe this to their audiences….find a way!
I cant believe its going to end like this. These writers wrote a great show and they had a great cast. Please bring it back for 1 more season so they can finalize it like it should have been and not leave the fans hanging.
This show is one of the best I’ve ever watched. I wish Netflix itself would bring it back! My husband is a fireman and we got all of the stations to start watching it. Everyone loves it! Haven’t heard one bad review. I never even heard of it on tv but I am so happy to of found it on Netflix! Doubtful anyone actually reads these but if anyone ever does spend more money on advertising for it! More people would watch if they saw a great trailer for it on Netflix.
