The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

I am very disappointed that this show is being cancelled. It is one of my favorite shows.I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and couldn’t wait for the next week to see the next episode. I think the network should rethink their decision.
I can’t believe their cancelling right before the last episode of season 3! Talk about your cliff hangers! I really enjoy the show and plot line it’s a shame USA is cancelling it. Wish another network would pick it up, at least to close out the story.
Colony is one of the best series shows on network television and the only show on USA network that I watch regularly. It has a real story line that grabs you and pulls you into it. I’ve been a fan since the first episode! I’d also like to know if USA network counts the ratings of those who record it and watch it later on DVR (…as I do most of the time.) It’s just impossible for me to watch it live to to family obligations. …but I never miss an episode. I sure hope Netflix or Amazon will pick… Read more »

I’m so disappointed that the network couldn’t have at least a produced a final show, since it sounds like they knew this was coming over a year ago.

They always took too much time off between seasons. With everything else on tv it just faded away.
I agree and I think this is the main reason they lost viewers along the way. Every year it seemed like we had to wait longer to see it, I think Season 1 began on October, Season 2 began in January and finally this last season was like May. That is too much to expect from fans who may have thought it was cancelled. It feels like they set it up to fail. It’s a pity because there aren’t so many well written tv shows nowadays and I always felt this was a winner.
Hope Netflix picks this up. This show became better each episode. It needs at least another season to give it a somewhat proper ending. Just cancel FTWD already.
This is one of the best shows on the air today. It almost seems surreal that USA is canceling this program. Do these are dates that you were using for ratings match up with people who watch the show at a later time then it is originally being aired through the USA app? I have small kids I can’t always get to the show in time but I love this show so much that I have woken up at 5: 30 in the morning and checked the USA app to see if I could watch the next episode on Thursday… Read more »
