The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

This season was better than the last. Please continue it or give us a real finale.
If they decided to cancel the show, they could’ve gave us two hour series finale. They left a major cliff hanger and left us fan who faithfully watched since day one hanging. How you gonna end it with Will Bowman entering a pod. We can to know what’s next. What happened to Katie. Gracie and the Gram. At least come back with a better episode. The fans deserve it.
Yes I agree…would have been great to have at least a 2 hour finale to see how it all ends instead of ending it all and have us wonder how the story goes.
That’s just crap that the last episode ended the way it did and THEN USA cancels it…if they were going to cancel one of the better shows on TV, they should at least have a 1.5-2 hour finale, or 6 episode season to wrap up the story. Instead all of the fans who watched the show since Episode 1 are just left hanging with more questions than answers, and absolutely NO resolution to ANY of the storylines that season 3 worked into, and then USA Execs just pull the plug?? I second that notion.
To bad, it was a very good show. When are these network people going to get a clue?? Nielsen Ratings are BOGUS! The sampling of viewers is akin to my spitting in the ocean. They don’t even sample a million households. Strongly doubt it if they number even in the thousands. Get a clue.
This is so absurd. Season 3 was literally building momentum for the grand part of the show. Atleast publish the script or storyline so we may know how it all ends.
Why would they cancel such an awesome show! I was so looking forward to what was next for the Bowman family! Ughh I hate when they cancel amazing shows!
Some shows are continued, though the plot has come to a logical end. But screenwriters try to come up with anything to continue, so producers can squeeze a little more money from it. Sometimes shows die off, when there is no ideas left for the plot, show has transformed to complete bs, and there is no way to continue it. (That happend, imho, with “Breaking Bad”). “Falling skies” has this problem: it’s plot turned into some magical way, then into some other way, till everything ended rather abruptly. I hate to see this show end! One of my favorite shows.
Usa should renew for at least season 4. Great writing, as it shows them as real pepole. Real fears and protecting family. The best written show on now!!! Viewer’s should get a conclusion to this. The characters are shown as human , real people. Everything can not be black and white and this shows us that. Really hope someone pickes it up for season 4.
Please renew it save it and give us a season 4!! USA you need to do like FX did and let it end on a positive note FX gave Falling Skies their final season, we need that here too! People won’t want to watch your network if you leave them hanging on too many enjoyable television shows that you cut off in the middle of that cliffhanger… Imho.. It would be nice to have at least a season 4 to wrap up and conclude the storyline for dedicated viewers like myself.
It’s frustrating to become attached to a storyline without having a plausible ending.

If anyone is interested in signing my petition it is to get a streaming service to continue the COLONY series. I’m sure we are all tired of having shows canceled on us and being left wanting a conclusion. So let’s do something about it!
I hope someone pick Colony up so I can see the story come to a logical conclusion. Netflix Amazon prime somebody step up please.
Colony is one of the most intelligently written stories I’ve ever seen. It is full of real people with their fears, interests, wrong decisions and seek of justice as they feel it. Cancelling this show the USA network does a great mistake – neglecting the intelligent auditory. I’ve been following the show in Bulgaria. Unfortunately, no local TV had bought the show and we are forced to download recordings. Even though, there are quite a lot Colony fans over here.
