The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

Colony is the best show to come out in years! Very apropos considering the current “climate.” USA needs to get it together. They DO NOT have a better series. I hope it is picked up by a network with vision. Best content, characters & writing I have seen in a very long time.
I can’t believe they are cancelling this program. Please God somebody else pick this up. I believe it’s way better than their new series shooter. Colony has a great plot, great actors and it is just starting to get seriously intense. How could they cancel it when the space fight begins??? They left it at the best cliffhanger I could possibly imagine. I don’t watch the episodes as they air, we DVR everything and catch up when we have the opportunity. I’m so disappointed

YOU can’t blame the show for poor ratings. It has to come down to a network problem. The acting and plot were great. Visibility has a lot to do with Promo…How much advertising was used on promoting this way above average drama series? Come on USA…I hope FOX picks it up…or some network thats more apt to promote it better…

I’m not sure who would be responsible for the decision to cancel this show, but the decision stinks. Looking at some of the new shows coming up, Colony stands out. Bring it back.

Please do not cancel this intriguing show! I love everything about it. My husband and I really enjoy it. The show is intelligent, pulling viewers in to use their own imaginations to join the cast.

NOOOOO…don’t cancel…the Aliens are attacking! We need the TV series Colony to continue – Will anyone consider picking it up? Netflix, Amazon…we need you now. BTW, it would have helped ratings if it had not been moved to 10PM EST.
this is definitely a bad place to end the series. There is no outcome, no closure. Colony is one of the best sci fi series created and deserves to run its course. The “bad” aliens rumored to be on the way to destroy the “clicks” and earth have not materialized. The series has been gearing up to fight them so what happens next?

I loved Colony! I was very disappointed to see that it was canceled. I watched the finale last night on Sling TV and thought it was a great build up…but didn’t realize it was the finale until I read about it online after it ended. I really want to see another season to see how it all ends. Really want to see what this ‘unknown war” entails and how they plan to stop the other aliens. Please USA, let Colony have at least once more season to wrap things up and see what happens.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! Totally intriguing and suspenseful. The characters are interesting and mysterious. The Aliens are intimidating and scarey.
It is an amazing, creative story. Very entertaining. Sad that it didn’t have the opportunity to reach it’s potential. Canceling the show that stimulated my imagination, seems unfair and cruel. I don’t understand how junky, stale re-runs stay on the air and quality content does not. Maybe USA can reconsider? Thank you
