Merrin Dungey is headed over to CBS. TVLine reports the Conviction star has joined the network’s new pilot Brothered Up.
Dungey is the latest Conviction star to move on to another project. Fellow cast members Hayley Atwell, Emily Kinney, and Manny Montana have all booked other roles on different series, heavily suggesting ABC will not renew the legal drama.
From Mark Gross, Brothered Up “tells the tale of two policemen — Calvin (Weeds‘ Romany Malco), an emotionally guarded African-American cop, and Farooq (Rules of Engagement‘s Adhir Kalyan), an emotionally available Pakistani cop — who are forced to find a way to work together to patrol the streets of a Detroit neighborhood.”
Dungey has been cast as Desri, Calvin’s wife, on the multi-camera sitcom.
