In October, we reported that NBC had committed to a series adaptation of the movie Cruel Intentions. Now, the network has formally ordered a pilot for the revival series, according to Variety.
Released in 1999, Cruel Intentions starred Ryan Phillippe and Sarah Michelle Gellar as step-siblings who scheme to take down an innocent virgin played by Reese Witherspoon.
The new series will pick up 15 years after the events of the film, following the son of Phillippe and Witherspoon’s original characters. The film’s writer and director, Roger Kumble, will return for the series alongside writers Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Cruel Intentions film? Would you watch the series?
I will like to see this on to a tv series.
