It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.
What do you think? Will you miss the Ewings? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you watch it on another channel?
We’re still waiting… Please get you act together and renew Dallas. Many fans want it back.
I love this ‘new’ Dallas. I agree ever time something good show up it gets cancelled. wHY?!!
You need to keep it!
Are you kidding? Bring it back, the best ever show. Can’t believe it! Compared to all the other terrible shows on Dallas was and always will be number one.
I went to the TNT website today and posted a comment about Dallas. We can post to these “Save Dallas” websites all day long, but if the guys at TNT don’t see them, it is a waste of time. So I suggest everybody here should go to TNTdrama.com and click on the little question mark in the corner, which brings up a Help list, and on that list, click “Ask TNT” and there will be a webpage where you can register your dissatisfaction, where they might actually see it. I hope we FLOOD their email box with requests to bring… Read more »
I LOVE THIS SHOW ! Please bring it back. I was so disappointed that it was cancelled.
Dallas should be renewed. It’s too good of a show to cancel. I would appreciate it if you would reconsider this decision. Fans everywhere miss this show. Please bring it back.

I can’t believe its gone…AGAIN…it was absolutely fantastic. When Larry Hagman (JR) died I was initially worried about how the show would carry one but it did and it did it VERY well in my opinion. It didn’t loose its edge, in fact the way they incorporated it into the story line was genius. But what do I know…I have only been watching Dallas for most of my life.
I can’t think of one recently started US “soap” that will have the longevity of a GREAT show like Dallas!!!!
/they always seem to cancel good shows. In the meantime they keep putting on more shows that do nothing but curse and more and more cooking shows. Nobody can afford to buy the ingredients for the cooking shows
Bring it back!
BRING IT BACK! Baby Boomers loved the show. Bring it back before the old cast has moved on to the South Fork in the sky.
Don’t cancel it. I love the show
That’s my fav show. I’m very disappointed that TNT cancelled Dallas. I’ve been watching that show for a long time. I would continue watching it if it could get renewed somehow. I wish it would be renewed or bring it back on another network. Just bring it back.
Very upset to find out it’s been cancelled.
WHAT???? I just found out that Dallas is cancelled? Really????? You people have to widen your scope on your demographics. Your show appeals to every post baby boomer out there and there are so so many of us. Just pick the right time slot…do not put it up against Revenge, Scandal and Empire. (all of which I watch and I am older!) Find its own time….it was a great show!!! Almost better than the original.
I am going to appeal to all the other ntworks to pick it up!!!!
Good luck.
Sending letter to TBS, USA, Lifetime, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and Pix 11, TVland, ….it is a goldmine.
Yes I agree with lisa shirvan bring it back please! !
