Last season, Gotham saw another big drop in the ratings but it remained one of FOX’s top scripted shows. If the numbers continue to drop, could the show be cancelled or, is it all but guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season because of syndication? Stay tuned.
A dark crime drama, Gotham tells the early stories of police detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and iconic Gotham City characters — before they became legendary crimefighters, villains, and heroes. Season three begins with Gordon taking matters into his own hands and becoming a vigilante. The rest of the cast includes Donal Logue, Morena Baccarin, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Jessica Lucas, Chris Chalk, Drew Powell, and Michael Chiklis.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
6/6 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of Gotham averaged a 1.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.09 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Gotham TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
5/10 update: FOX has renewed Gotham for a fourth season. Details here.
this gordons show kinda sucks, by the time bruce wayne grows up all the villains will be old and still be fighting with gordon
keep this show on. wait every week for it
I’m a big fan of this show. All i can say is if FOX cancels this show ill be done with there network. I really liked Forever and Second chance and they cancelled both of them.
Love the show. Like the direction it is going.
This is my favorite show, I love everything about it. I love the drama the suspense, this show can’t be cancelled.
I love gotham please dont cancel the bahamas is watching too
This show is BS now that they made Penguin gay. It was forced and has no relevance to the plot. If your going to add a gay character at least made it seem more natural and not just for the sake off being PC. Totally jumped the shark. Cancel!
It wasn’t forced at all. Has no relevance to the plot? Oswald’s love for Nygma is what’s pushing him into becoming The Riddler.
Finaly, a network show actually worth watching. I arrange my schedule to watch Gotham and you’re considering cancelling it? No wonder cable is killing you guys.
Please renew Gotham for season 4 !
Considering all the other views online, this show probably has way more views than this. Seriously, it can’t be cancelled! Gotham has already has proven itself to the fans, and there’s so much potential. It should go on for at least five more seasons.
I am going crazy! One of the only shows I actually enjoy. Please renew
Renew!!!!!!
Please please please. My wife and I need season 4!!!! To many things left unanswered
My Wife and I are loyal fans since the first pilot episode. The acting is first rare, set designs are amazing, and the story is moving along with a lot more yet to be explored.
Looking forward to a season 4 if the powers that be at Fox know a good show when they have one.
Gotham has been one of the best showed on air in a long time, it should be a no brainer for a keeper.
Please do not cancel Gotham !
Thank you ☺
Not without Fish! She was the best thing this show had to offer (except of Penguin of course).
