USA has renewed Graceland for a third season of 13 episodes.
The second season of Graceland concluded in September and averaged 1.25 million viewers. That was down by 44% when compared to the first season. Typically, a drop like that would spell cancellation but USA’s full slate is essentially struggling.
Here’s the renewal:
USA NETWORK ORDERS THIRD SEASON OF ORIGINAL DRAMA “GRACELAND” FROM CREATOR JEFF EASTIN AND FOX TELEVISION STUDIOS
NEW YORK – November 11, 2014 – USA Network today announced a 13-episode third season order for the provocative one-hour series GRACELAND, a high-stakes serialized drama from creator Jeff Eastin (WHITE COLLAR), which follows a group of elusive undercover agents who live in a web of lies while operating under the same roof. The series is produced for USA by Fox Television Studios.
“This season of Graceland took viewers on a wild ride with unexpected character twists, and a heart-stopping cliffhanger that left a lead character’s fate in question,” said USA Network President Chris McCumber. “Jeff Eastin and the talented ensemble cast deliver on all levels, and season three will undoubtedly continue to keep us on the edge of our seats.”
Said Fox Television Studios’ Senior Vice President, Programming, Nancy Cotton, “FTVS truly values the long and fruitful relationship we have with Jeff and USA. We could not be more excited to bring USA viewers another thrilling season of GRACELAND.”
The sophomore season followed the dangerous lives of six undercover federal agents living together in a government-seized Southern California beachfront house. These FBI, DEA and ICE agents, whose lies are their lives, struggled to maintain a sense of normalcy. This was especially challenging when former FBI rookie, Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit, “Les Miserables”) returned to “Graceland” to run point on a dangerous mission against the cartel. Briggs (Daniel Sunjata, “Rescue Me”), still concerned about the missing recording that implicated him in a murder, attempted to clean up his life and repair his relationships. The season ended with a stunning cliffhanger: Sid (Carmine Giovinazzo) smothering a hospitalized Mike as Briggs raced to try to save him from Sid’s deadly hands.
GRACELAND season two delivered an L7 average of 2.6M total viewers P2+, 1.25M P18-49, 1.4M P25-54. The show experienced huge DVR lifts, with 112% average increases in 18-49.
The renewal of GRACELAND comes on the heels of pick-ups for original dramas SUITS, SATISFACTION and ROYAL PAINS. The network has a strong drama pipeline, including four pilots: MR. ROBOT, with Christian Slater (“Nymphomaniac,” “Adderall Diaries”) and Rami Malek (“24”); COLONY from executive producers Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Bates Motel”) and Ryan Condal (“Hercules”) and starring Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Walking Dead”) and Josh Holloway (“Lost”); STANISTAN starring Jennifer Carpenter (“Dexter”); and QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, starring Alice Braga (“I am Legend,” “City of God”), based on the international best seller “La Reina Del Sur”– which spawned one of the most popular telenovelas of all time on USA’s sister network Telemundo. The network ended the summer on top and won Q3 across all key demos (25-54, 18-49, 18-34).
GRACELAND is currently available on video on demand, USANetwork.com and Amazon Prime. Fans can access Graceland: Undercover, an interactive second screen experience offering the unique opportunity to live the secret life of federal agents, online or it via download on audio content recognition-enabled iOS mobile and tablet apps available in the Apple App Store.
GRACELAND comes from creator and executive producer Eastin (WHITE COLLAR) and Fox Television Studios, and stars Sunjata, Tveit, Vanessa Ferlito (“Grindhouse”), Brandon Jay McLaren (“Falling Skies”), Serinda Swan (“Breakout Kings) and Manny Montana (“Chicago Code”). The series is shot on location in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

What do you think? Are you glad that Graceland has been renewed for a third season? How long should this series run?
I loved Graceland both Seasons. I am looking forward for a third season.
i cant find the third season help me plz. send me a link
Think it is a great show & should continue!
LOVE this show! Why is not promoted/advertised more?
I’m glad it didn’t get canceled, it’s a good show. My wife and I enjoy watching. It has good actors & actresses and the story lines are very good as well. We are ready for it to begin and very glad it’s back.
I do not know why this has low ratings. I happen to like this show and very glad it has been renewed. I have watched both seasons so far and will continue to watch.
It’s another shakycam special. Those tend to turn audiences off (with good cause!)
PLEASE DON’T END IT, THEY R ALWAYS TAKING THE GOOD SHOW OFF THE AIR.I BELIEVE IT SHOULD AT LEAST DO 8 SEASONS, THANKS FOR BRINGING IT BACK THIS SEASON!
Ohhh thanks
am so happy for that
PLEASE…DO RENEW…SEASON ENDED REALLY VERY STRANGELY..KEPT LOOKING FOR THE NEXT SHOWING, BUT NEVER FOUND IT. IT WAS NEVER TITLED AS THE FINALE…SO, BRING IT BACK AND WHEN WILL THE NEXT SEASON AIR???
Lovew, love, love this series. I’m thrill we get 13 episodes!
wow, how far has USA fallen. last year, this had a 1,0 demo and was on the bubble, it was a last minute renewal. this year, with a .5, it’s a Booyah guaranteed early renewal. USA has become to cable what Fox is to the major network. one low rated show after another
With the caveat that demo numbers are only used for PR spin and don’t really matter to the bottom line, I entirely agree with you.
It took her a while, but Bonnie Hammer has finally managed to bring USA down to the level of Siffy!
Renewing flops and giving absurd diktat on what new shows should be (the nonsensical “blue sky” mandate) finally paid off in droves.
What a colossal waste of money!!!
Wow! You seem to be especially outspoken and vehemently against this Bonnie Hammer. Even though you obviously are free to enjoy your First Amendment rights, it’s not always a prudent move to assume all the rights available to each of us. I actually appreciate some well written and thoughtful comments on people involved in the entertainment industry since my life is so far separated from theirs, because I depend upon TV entertainment for distraction more than ever in my life. Myself and others who use TV entertainment sites with liberal comment pages for individual shows have noted that, in our… Read more »
I read it (quickly to be fair) and don’t buy into your “logic” which is essentially “don’t write things I don’t want to read”… On Bonnie Hammer, one doesn’t have to know her to judge her record as a corporate executive. She took a vibrant property in SciFi channel and transformed it into Skiffy and now Siffy with astonishingly bad programming. I mean, they are actually proud of the creative and commercial disaster that is Sharknado (don’t be fooled it of course has really awful ratings!) When Ms. Hammer moved on to USA, it was riddled with successful shows like… Read more »
Under Bonnie Hammer, USA has become a glutton for low-ratings punishment.
Renewing this flop for a third season exemplifies how Ms. Hammer destroyed what was once the jewel of the cable side of NBCU.
Really? So Briggs is a drug dealer a heroine addict and kills an undercover FBI agent and nothing happens but yet mike has to pay with his life just cause he took a case to far?
I never caught season one, but got interested in the second season…..Until about two thirds through when everything just became foolish. I’m really surprised they’re ordering more. USA seems to get these shows that are sold as some good action packed drama, but in the end they’re little more than night time soaps that might attract a lot of women, but often get men tapping out early because they’re not what they had been promoted as. They’re more like action drama light. If they don’t figure that out they’ll keep running into this They did have one that sort of… Read more »
It’s a good show It should run as long as there is a good story to be told. Some shows become long in the tooth, have no where to go and end up being the guest who over-stayed his welcome.
A good show doesn’t have to run forever. Everyone doesn’t have to sleep with everyone in the cast. If needed, make a good reasonable ending and go away. We’ll get by.
This show was long in the tooth by the first act break of the pilot!!
