Grimm wrapped its sixth season on NBC on Friday night, and the two hour finale closed out one chapter for Nick and his friends, but the series is far from over. Do not continue reading if you have not yet watched the season five finale.
The finale for Grimm was Nick versus Black Claw. In the end, one side won. Who won?
Without Nick beating Black Claw, there isn’t much of a show, but it is the how he defeated Black Claw that ended the season – he had some help from Sean Renard. The Captain killed the leader of Black Claw, and that will take care of that issue for next season.
However, it also sets up the new battle. Next season, it will be Nick versus Sean, according to David Giuntoli. He said the following to TV Line:
“Oh, that group is so done. They’re not gonna come for me again; I killed like 30 people that tried to get me. Now it’s Renard versus Nick. I think.”
David Guintoli revealed he would like to see the series return its focus to the main cast. The finale had a bombshell that will need to be explored next season – the return of Juliette. He tried to heal Eve of her wounds, and it cured her Hexenbiest side in the process. This sets up a love triangle for next season – once Adalind is away from Renard.
As for Adalind, the ring on her hand will still be a factor next season, according to James Kouf, one of the executive producers on the series. He said the following to Entertainment Weekly:
“Everything’s still in play. It’s kind of a new world. There has been so much damage done to both sides, and with what the stick does, it opens up other doors to what the hell is going on in our world.”
As for season six itself, the executive producers have been guaranteed 13 episodes, but that count could increase. David Greenwalt, the other executive producer for the series, said the following:
“We’re assured of 13, which is more than half the season. There may or may not be more episodes. It may or may not be the last season. These are things we don’t yet know. We’re certainly thinking of arcs for next year, and then [the episode order] will determine how long it takes to do that.”
Are you a Grimm fan? Did you enjoy the season five finale? Are you excited for season six? Tell us what you think.
I think we need to connect some old favorites into a new westen group. That was only one chapter of black claw. They killed the founder but there is still an army. I say through some of the westen they have saved. Like Holly Clark let’s see Nick and Trubel build an army.

There has to be more seasons. We have to see what becomes of Diana and Kelly.
I enjoyed the season finale as I do every other episode. I love how the writers made Adalind evolve. I like her and Nick together. Never did care too much for Juliette. I thought she was better with Sean. Can’t wait to see what becomes of Diana. She could easily kill the Grimm if her mom gets hurt because Nik leaves her for Juliette. Why did they have to kill off Eve? She’s a much more interesting character. She reminded me of a Dr Spock. Lol. I love this show!
“kill off Eve[sic]”?? Like, when?? Are you confusing Eve for Juliette?? Because that doesn’t make sense given your seemingly-unpleasant remark about her that you “don’t give a d–n about her”. And if your imagination for Diana’s actions [based on an entirely different case in a different scenario] becomes true, then I’m “afraid” to say that Adalind’s character has to come [back] at square one.* And so are the other characters that means both Captain Renard and Juliette (still not sure whether she can be brought back in place of Eve) have to get [back] into to their original shoes. ☺… Read more »
Sorry for the typos!!! D–n this auto-correct thing in modern smartphones…!!! Replying again because not allowed to reply on my own response (“as a matter of policy”), so I do hope you really do get my intended-terms/actual words without needing my help. ☺
This was the Best season finale Grimm has ever had! I can’t believe the idiotic ratings! Bet folks signed up to do the ratings were not wearing their rating monitors on a busy Friday night because NOTHING else makes sense!! The show was entirely perfect in script, stunts, acting, action, character development, plot…on and on!!! Best weekly TV series on the air. If they remove it I am done with network TV and moving to Netflix and Hulu for good!!
Unfortunately, those “folks” are hired by the corporation touted-as “Earth’s largest survey-agency”, Nielsen® [to perform their TV-ratings job]!
Please don’t take one of the best shows off TV. I can’t believe they would even think it.
I love GRIMM! Its my fave! we watch it 3x to 4x in a week for the same episode. I love the finale. Can’t wait to watch season 6. Hope there’s more season of GRIMM. Please…. Thanks!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF NICK. DON’T let Juliette have him. She had her chance & she screwed up big time with Kelly’s (Nick’s mom) incident. I get that she was controlled by her Hexenbiest side, but no. No way please. I just wanna see him happy again, can’t it be possible with Adalind? The only thing she didn’t do to Nick under orders was taking his ability as a Grimm; & that was restored. Everything else was under orders or for what was done to her (Diana, her mother, etc.) & she didn’t do anything totally irreversible (like killing).… Read more »
I feel the same about Juliette. I like Eve but not Juliette.
Has everybody forgotten the only reason Juliette turned into a hexenbiest was because of Adalind!?!. Adalind set EVERYTHING in motion that caused the death of Nick’s mother which eventually resulted in the rise of Eve, and she did it on purpose. She wasn’t under a spell–she was just plain evil. Now everybody wants to give her a free pass. I say no way should Adalind have Nick and I pray little Kelly is really Juliette’s. After all, she was in Juliette’s body when she conceived him.
While I ‘luckily’ agree with most of your comment. Let me also break the “bad-news” to you that she wasn’t in Juliette’s body while deceiving Nick [and Trubel], she instead prepared a potion with prescribed-witchcraft which required Juliette’s DNA-samples and her belongings as key ingredients. And then, she just had to inhale the steam coming-out of the on-flame potion through witch-hat’s hole which would transform her as a “carbon-copy” of Juliette for a limited period-of-time.* Nothing else was specified. And yes, that’s what happens when you watch a [commercial] TV show with emotions, [everyone should] trust showrunners as “professional”-enough to… Read more »
I never liked Juliette with Nick even before she skilled Mother Kelly. She never seemed to support him or his work before after finding out he was a Grimm. She did for a very short while but did not last long. And she did understand there was risks involved in helping him get his Grimm back but she chose the dark side of the hexenbiest role. Her and him may be an item in real life and are probably much different than their TV roles but on the show not together please. Have her hook up with Renard as they… Read more »
Now that’s what my ‘open-mindedness’ helps me to agree-a-little with! ☺ BTW, didn’t really get your “item[sic]” thing, what was it??
Only one-thing: “Couldn’t-disagree-with-you-more”.
May the Sanity prevail!* ☺
*Too ‘fairy-taley’, ain’t it?
The final eposid of the season 5 is so great, that i cant wait to see season 6th and I have hope fore more new seasins!
I so love GRIMM. It is the best show ever. Such great writers and cast is awesome!! Love my David. He is a wonderful actor with so much emotion. Beautiful man!! I so hope that there will be more episodes for season 6 and the the series goes on for so many more seasons. Im a true Grimster and I love it.
Already waiting for next season. There are so many angles that could be elaborated on more. I agree with some of the previous posters about bringing out new Wesen characters.
Grimm is awesome and each season keeps getting better. I like the opening up of the Grimm world this season and that it wasn’t contained to just the one city. I want to see other Grimms pop up and I want what happened to Nick with the voodoo fish guy explained better. Nick’s powers jumped as either a result of that guy or it only allowed him to reach for powers all the Grimms get over time. They could so explore that whole angle. Maybe have him get more powers. If not, I’ll be satisfied with Nick exploring the stick.… Read more »
“Pretty-Agreed” with entire of your comment [except the Juliette’s part].
{Posting this as a clarification since I up-voted}
The finale did not disappoint. I couldn’t have asked for better. Grimm is a Friday night tradition in our household. We cannot wait for next season. I love the characters and the CGI effects. I am so glad Nick beat the *** out of Renard that was so gratifying. I love the tough side of him and I love his sensitive side. I will miss HW and Meisner. All these actors are really good. I am glad Diana is on the right side. It’s nice to see her so close to her Mom and so protective. thank you for an… Read more »
I would like for the actor that played Meisner to come back but as his twin brother maybe. He could maybe come there looking for his brother but not knowing what happened to him. Maybe he can be some sort of mercenary like Meisner was. Maybe even a love interest for Juliette if she doesn’t go with Renard.
The next season must be the last one.
All is done, all has happened. is good have 13 episodes in some way.
But come back with Juliette/Nick is gonna to be a little pathetic.
My predictions the series in S6 will be cancelled with a 0.6
Why does everyone hate Juliette? I thought her and Nick had great chemistry–probably because they’re a couple off-screen. In any case, every opinion I read is anti-Juliette. Obviously I’m alone on this but I loved them together and while the Eve character was very interesting, I hope the old Juliette is back even if she and Nick are over.
Don’t care if she comes back but don’t hook her back up with Nick. She was too rotten to him in the past and has burned way too many bridges. Hook her with a new guy or Renard since they have a connection anyway.
“She was too rotten to him in the past and has burned way too many bridges.[sic]” Kindly properly elaborate that. And also, it would be appreciable if you also explain how does that make Adalind stand-out as “divine saint”? And from whatever I’ve gathered from your comment (right or wrong), my response would be: “Why not make Nick like [his BFF] Hank ultimately? Why is it necessary for him to ultimately settle with someone-like Ms Adalind? Why is it not creatively-appreciable if showrunners portray their main-lead as “lonely” at-the-end rather “happy married” or “happy ever-after with […]” types for the… Read more »
For some reason she annoys a lot of people, and I mean a lot. I am indifferent to her, but I think as Eve she was good. I think she’s no longer wesen due to the holy stick, though.
For “some reason[sic]?? Well, that’s “doubtful/myopic at best”!
Don’t worry, you’re not alone! And I do hope that you’re still remaining firm on your point.
As far as your valid-points are concerned, I guess I’ve given you an elaborate-answer somewhere else on this comment-thread. But nevertheless for the readers which can’t “bother” to check the entire thread, only one-word [answer to sum-up all]: “Emotions!”. ☺
The season finale was AMAZING !!!!! I am SOOO going to have a hard time waiting for the next chapter. I hope there will be more than 13 episodes – WE NEED MORE GRIMM !!!
I love Grimm! its a great series and I like the fact that whatever part each episode ends on the next episode starts at that exact moment. The season finale was awsome an i can’t wait for the new season.
“I like the fact that whatever part each episode ends on the next episode starts at that exact moment[sic]”: Well, that’s not always (read: mostly) true, “dear”. “Rest of all” is fine! ☺
