INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY’S ALL-NEW SERIES “I AM HOMICIDE” DIGS INTO THE CASE FILES OF ONE OF AMERICA’S MOST DEDICATED DETECTIVES
–Season Two of IDs top-rated podcast DETECTIVE launches on June 7 on iTunes–
(Silver Spring, Md.) – When the streets talk, he listens. Where a crime scene has already been picked over, he can see things everyone else missed. Meet homicide detective Garry McFadden, the focus of Investigation Discovery’s all-new original series I AM HOMICIDE. After nearly three decades with the Charlotte Police Department, Det. McFadden has solved more than 700 homicide cases, resulting in a 90-percent success rate with the investigations he pursues. But his work doesn’t stop at protecting and serving the community of Charlotte. Chances are that when a call comes in, he knows the victim, the family, or even the perpetrator, because he has made it his mission to be one with the people of Charlotte, operating his investigations out of a local diner instead of the police precinct so he can truly get to know residents across the city and gain their confidence. Det. McFadden uses his street smarts to work the neighborhood networks and gather critical information for leads, at times risking his life by trusting the streets he calls home. I AM HOMICIDE world premieres Tuesday, June 14 at 10/9c only on Investigation Discovery.
During each one-hour episode, Det. McFadden opens his case files to reveal how his unorthodox investigation methods helped solve one of the most precarious cases of his career. Using recreations, archival footage and revisiting the scenes of his most renowned cases, McFadden will take you behind the curtain on the cases that not only defined his career but the community he lives in. He will go anywhere, talk to anyone, and follow any lead with or without backup assistance – all the while wearing the best suits in town. And, after thirty-five years on the force, retirement be damned, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Fans can also take a deeper dive each week when Investigation Discovery’s top-rated podcast, DETECTIVE, returns on June 7 for an all-new season featuring Det. McFadden. In each weekly installment of DETECTIVE, McFadden goes into detail about topics including his decorated career, cases that haunt him today, the legacy he wants to leave in Charlotte and his belief that community-based policing could diffuse contentious relations between law enforcement and the people they vow to protect.

I love I Am Homicide. Please keep it on
Please bring I am Homicide back! Excellent show!
I love “I Am Homicide” please bring it back!
What happened to I Am Homicide with Detective McFadden? I am so upset. I was enjoying him and Lt. Kenda. Please bring him Baaaaack!
I hope the show is cancelled. I can’t stand that guy.
WHY was this show cancelled?????? Next to Kenda his show was great. You all came up with a different show Murder Chose Me. It’s not bad but it is not as good as I am homicide.
Homicide guy, so many of his cases already on I’d. He is as pesonable as anyone (except Kenda) anyway homicide and his crew are real an I think real is better than Hollywood. Put the show back on an I can think of three shows of less value on ID network. Mr. Homicide you have my vote. Booooo I’d
I love the show and Lt Kenda too. Real personalities and concern for the fellow man. Gave me even more respect for police in general. I would die for a signed photo of both. My only problem is I can’t get enough
What happened to I am homicide this was one of my favorite shows on my favorite channel ID. I rarely change my station to any other channels. I hope you all reconsider and please bring back McFadden. And why isn’t it on reruns I’m seeing a lot of homicide hunter on that show is sometimes on an entire week and all day from morning to night. Why is that but no I am homicide thanks
What happened to I Am Homicide???? I loved it. Great show, McFadden has a smooth personality Have been looking for new season. Came on kind of late and no reruns. Bring him back, “that’s homicide!!!!”
This is an outstanding show. He is a wonderful and intelligent detective. I look forward to watching this each week and hope it’s on for many seasons to come.
I REALLY hope that I am homicide returns. Because it was very good. I love trying to solve the cases with him.
I love his show! !! I am very anxiously waiting on season two!! We need someone that we can relate to. I like Joe Kendallville but I like Mc Fadden better. How do these racist folks manage to find a way to comment? I believe they go out they way to do so.
I like this show and I hope it returns for season 2. It’s very different from Homicide Hunter which I also like. They give different perspectives and go about solving crimes in their own unique way. Please allow this show to rerurn!
INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY is one of my favorite and most watched channels. However, I have seen the ads promoting I AM HOMICIDE and I will not be watching a show with the main character saying “boff” instead of “both”. He immediately comes across as an ignorant buffoon which is probably not the case but it does not entice me to watch the show. Your advertising department might be wiser in producing a trailer that will attract people in a demographic capable of speaking intelligent English and with purchasing power. I mean seriously, “BOFF”?
Looking down on someone for his pronunciation of words, dialect and other superficial means of judging one’s intelligence is the very definition of ignorance. I speak “intelligent English” and have “purchasing power,” and I find it very enticing to observe how those gifted in skills I can’t even imagine possessing solve problems I couldn’t even begin to figure out. This detective is out trying to improve his community, and you’re judging his dialect.
I enjoyed watching I am Homicide.
I absolutely love I Am Homicide!
I’m with the others, I love “I Am Homicide”.. My husband & I get popcorn and set with Det McFadden as he solves the cases. Because of shows like these, its prepared us to be more cautious when I leave my home. I love Ret. Det Kenda also but I also like diversity & the way things are mixed up. I hope we see more of McFadden, plz
Really because I’m pretty sure you watch Joe Kinda (by the way he is my fave) and he says “*****” which I always laugh at because he’s bad ass…anyway someones lanuage use or pronunciation has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT THEY RISK THEIR LIVES EVERYDAY TO SAVE OTHERS AND OUT THERE SOLVING CRIME INSTEAD OF JUDGING HIM BY THE WAY THAT HE TALKS YOU SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE RESPECT FOR WHAT HE DOES…but we’re all entitled to our opinion even if it is ignorant
Well we all know what your problem is and it isn’t his dialect. I like his show. And I have purchasing power.
This is his heritage and way of speaking. So critical Nancy. SMH. Do you see anyone criticizing a “Boston” or” Minnesota” accent?
