CBS has announced that the two-hour finale of Hostages will air on Monday, January 6th, at 9pm. Though the low-rated show is sure to be cancelled, the network made a point to call it a “season finale.”
Intelligence had originally been scheduled to debut in February but the network has moved up the launch to Tuesday, January 7th, at 9pm. It’ll follow an original episode of NCIS, the network’s most-watched drama. The following week, Intelligence will settle into its regular timeslot, Mondays at 10pm.
An action drama, Intelligence revolves around a high-tech intelligence operative (Josh Holloway) who’s been enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. With this implant, he’s the first human who’s ever been able to be connected directly into the global information grid. He can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies. Also in the cast are Marg Helgenberger, Meghan Ory, Michael Rady, John Billingsley and PJ Byrne.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to checking out Intelligence? Are hoping that Hostages will be renewed somehow or is 15 episodes enough?
Just watched finale of Hostages. We loved the series. With all the “junk” that passes for entertaining television, it’s a shame that a great one like Hostages is getting the axe.
I loved the show!
Love the show..characters have taken on series identities adroitly..will miss weekly thickening plot..
“Hostages” is a fun, fantastic, and innovative intense action/drama in the style of such hits as “24” & “Homeland”. It is one of the best shows on TV and is a welcome diversion from a lot of the formulaic mishmash saturating our airwaves these days. I don’t understand the comments bashing the show and can only say everyone has their own taste. I hope for a 2nd seasond and reiterate that often networks don’t give fledgling shows a chance to flourish………the twists and turns are ingenious and it is the only show I am interested in on CBS!!!
I am a regular viewer of Hostages. Unfortunately it was scheduled opposite Blacklist .
I record Blacklist and watch Hostages live. Maybe others do the reverse, thus the low ratings. Hostages acting and plots are excellent.
I like Hostages. The plot is kind of ridiculous, but it’s fun to watch. Both Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott are creepy, yet interesting at the same time. New shows are cancelled too quickly. Give this one a chance. The reason for the killings and the craziness is starting to make sense; we can understand why things are happening since the back-story was told.
“Hostages” — so bad it is funny. CBS should have pulled the plug on this shameful series in Week 2.
While I do enjoy the twists and turns they have come up with during the obvious TV mini-series plot there are only so many ways to “skin a cat”. Anyone at CBS believing this was more than a half-season short-liver ought to also bring back Unforgettable…OH SHOOT!!! HE DID!!!
I love the show Hostages! I hope the show airs a second season. I would be curious to see what would go on after the whole killing the president scandal!
I think the show is dragging on. I hope at least they have the decency to wrap it up with some closure.
15 episodes of Hostages is more than enough. I still don’t get why they want to kill the president. The show just isn’t that good – I’m only watching now to see how it ends and to see if we ever find out the reason for the whole thing. If there was to be a season 2 (and I really don’t see how a show like this can), I would definitely NOT watch.
Claiming that the finale for Hostages is a “season finale” is incredibly optimistic. Fo0l me once, shame of you; fool me twice – not gonna happen.
