Jay Leno is leaving the Tonight Show but David Letterman isn’t going anywhere for awhile.
CBS has extended Letterman’s contract to host Late Show with David Letterman through 2015. His contract had been set to expire at the end of 2014.
CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said, “There is only one Dave, and we are extremely proud that he continues to call CBS ‘home.”
Letterman responded, “Les and I had a lengthy discussion, and we both agreed that I needed a little more time to fully run the show into the ground.”

It is now June of 2015, and Dave has been off the air for three LONG weeks! It’s difficult sometimes to process that a fixture in your life, one so long lived and treasured has just disappeared. Literally, at the flip of a switch! I was watching when David was doing local TV in Los Angeles. And I’ve been watching ever since. Get him off now. He’s completely out of touch with reality. His demeaning and degrading comments to conservatives made me and I’m sure a lot more people turn him off long ago. He belongs where he lives, in the People’s Republic of Connecticut.
