TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Yes There Should Be A Fourth Season. This Show Has Good Actors And A Very Good Plot. You Should Keep It Going On.
I really love this show. One if the best on tv. I hope they renew it because I will not watch anything on their network again.
I’m glad its cancelled, it started out great but went off the rails like Branch. I also hate when a season ends in a cliffhanger… I hope both Branch and his father both got shot and killed each other ,,, Plus the dude who played Richie Valens should stick to playing latinos , He sucked as a stuck up Native American.
One of the BEST shows around and oh so very disappointed that it has been cancelled! I hope you all reconsider this decision! I agree with Denise. Very wacky!
I’ve watched it since the very beginning, and now my children and their spouses are watching it. Let it find it’s audience. It is probably the best show on A&E.
My family and I loved this show. The characters and the plots are excellent. Can not believe it was cancelled.
Absolutely one of the best shows on TV!! Please don’t cancel it!!
this is a great show–do not cancel it. It is our favorite show. Can’t believe anyone would want to cancel it.
This is a great show–our favorite!! Do not cancel it. What a disappointment!!
I can’t believe that they would cancel such a great show. What idiots decide which shows are canceled is what I’d like to know. Compared to some of the shows on TV now days I can’t believe they pick this one to cancel, why not cancel the Kardashian’s then I would clap my hands. But apparently they are not intelligent because they canceled shows people like to watch And not the ones that should be canceled.
Loved the show. Found both the characters and the plots interesting. Really disappointed that it was cancelled. Seems like a whacky decision to me. Any chance of a change of heart? If not, I certainly hope another programming service picks up the series.
Agree 100%
Unbelievable! What does it take for a quality show to stay on the air?? I really hope they find another channel to pick them up for season 4. OR. A&E – am reconsidering supporting your other shows AND your sponsors. Bring Longmire back for Season 4.
The fan base spends $$ too.
Love this show, should have been renewed. Very sad. all the good shows get cancelled.
I’m very disappointed to hear they are cancelling this show. There are so many things to like about it: culture and characters that we don’t get to see anywhere else, a lawman that has integrity, 3 dimensional characters, interesting mysteries/subplots all in a modern day western. I will be sorry to see this one go.
