TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Are you kidding me? This is one of the best shows on TV. I guess some more reality crap will replace it.
This wasn’t the fastest horse out of the chute, but the stories were strong and the actors did a terrific job with the characters who I enjoyed each week. On top of everything we were left with one doosey of a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode.
So no Longmire did not deserve to be cancelled, unlike some shows that are still hanging around.
Disgusted with A&E. What are they going to replace this quality show with? Another stupid reality show?
Shame on A&E! Longmire is one of the best shows in years.
My husband & I were just introduced to Longmire this Summer (2014). We liked it so much that we got a subscription to Netflix, so we could go back & see Seasons 1 & 2. Why would think cancelling this show is OK? Are you just taking a survey to see if we are really watching? Bring it back, PLEASE!
Ridiculous!!! We finally get a show on TV that lacks the nudity, foul language and filth, and it gets cancelled. I think that says a lot about the network.
A+E is to cheap to put on a real show, they did the same thing to the show called Glades. They should dump Duck D and just shut down network.
I loved this show. This seemed like this could be your family. they dealt with the native americans and how they struggle. This show was a fresh and excting show that dealt with the country instead of always having crime shows in the city. I really enjoy this show reminded me of show in the past. If was a simple show no high tech stuff just simple old crime solving. Plus it is really irritating when they cancel a show and it ends with no closure.
This is a great show. How stupid can a network be ???
Evidently there is no limit on that.
great show I don’t understand your decision to cancel. You should at least bring some kind of closure to the series. You owe it to your loyal viewers .
How can you cancel one of the best shows on tv with so many unanswered questions…A&E I used to watch your network almost all day, but now its losing it appeal to me…Duck Dynasty and Criminal Minds are the only ones I watch now…Tooo Bad for A&E
My husband and I both enjoyed this show. We hope you reconsider cancelling it.
This is one of the best shows on cable tv. Why cancel it? I hope another network picks it up. My husband & I both love the show. Do NOT cancel it, please reconsider.
PLEASE do not cancel this show! Best show on TV. Have to find out who got shot! Love all the characters. I sure hope another channel will pick them up
Best show ever !!!!!!! Why cancel??????
I love this show, why did they have to cancel it? It was one of the most interesting, clean, family oriented show that everyone could watch. So of course they take it off the air. I hope they put it back on. I guess it has nothing to do with gay people or crafts or selling things to keep it on the air, finally something good comes on and they take it off. Shame on all of you guys.
