TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
My entire family including my parents, grandparents, my wife and kids, really enjoyed this show. We are very disappointed and hope that another network that is better and smarter than A&E picks this show up and takes it to higher heights. A&E continues to blunder under their current chief, they really need to fire her.
What a dissapointment! Cancelling Longmire is just wrong. We love that show!! A modern day western, a dream come true. Please reconsider!!!
Are you kidding. I race home from work just to watch Longmire
I guess I won’t eve watch
A&E anymore either. How about cancelling some of those awful REALITY
shows that aren’t clse to being real.
Love the show ………tell me your not canceled
this series was great, I cannot believe it was cancelled. How sad when a good clean tv show is cancelled
It is very upsetting to have this show canceled. It is a great show, guess only mindless reality shows stay on the air. I hope another network had the brains to pick it up
Please renew Longmire. It is one of the few shows worth watching anymore.
Say it isn’t so! Our family enjoys watching Longmire. Let’s be honest….reality shows aren’t REALity They take up a lot of space on TV that could be used to show Longmire and other well-acted shows with great story lines. I’m very disappointed. Please reconsider your decision to cancel Longmire. Thank you.
One of the best shows on TV. Everyone I have talked to that has seen it is a follower. Bad move to cancell it.
Verrrry BAD move to cancel LONGMIRE!!! Folks at A and E need to have a better method in evaluating what shows to stay and ones to go.
OMG. Please don’t take Longmire off
That is the best show I’ve seen in forever.
What are you people thinking????
We don’t need another stupid reality show
Please put it back on
With all the garbage on tv today Longmire was a class act and easy to follow but still filled with suprises. Walt was a hero in a time this country could use one. Pleas do what you need to so we can have it back!!!!!
What; Longmire has been canceled? A&E you are crazy! This was one of your best shows. I am sick of all the reality shows and DO NOT watch any of them. You made a huge mistake. I guess I will not be watching much of anything on A&E.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAVE THI SHOW….WAHT ON EARTH ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING???? OH LET ME GUESS YOU’LL BE ADDING ANOTHER STUPID “REALITY” SHOW TO YOUR LINE-UP…YOU KNOW MAN (WOMAN) DOES NOT LIVE BY REALITY TV ALONE!!!
Enjoyed watching this one…bring it back
Oh come on now. Leaving on the edge, not knowing what happened with Branch, his dad, and Longmire…wow how cruel A&E. One of the better shows that people enjoy watching and you take it off the air. Well here is to the hope someone with logical mind looks at the quality this show has, the people who star in it, and the hope they can change the decision and carry it to a conclusion atleast
