The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

I am aspiring to be a Medical Doctor and I came across this show and its the best I have ever seen!!!!!!! Please bring it back….. This show has increased my drive to become a doctor and I love it!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE BRING MIAMI MEDICAL BACK.. This is a great TV series and my entire family is now into watching this series and want to know the next season….
I love Miami Medical. The characters are wonderful, and fleshed out, and I feel like these are people I really want to get to know and that I can care about. It doesn’t have some quirky humor to it…it doesn’t pretend to be a drama, hiding out as a comedy. It really is a drama, and it shows realistic pain. The drama in the show comes from the real life stuff that the characters face–it isn’t some trumped up set of “Drama Queen” stuff. Great show. Dont understand how it was cancelled, everyone I know that has seen it loved it. It had a bad time slot. What a shame. Wish it were on right now. Re-air it in two and a half mens time slot and start making Season 2!

I though Miami Medical was a great show. It had a wonderful ensemble cast. I’d rather have this show back and get rid of House because the story lines are becoming so ridiculous, they’re almost embarrasing to watch.

I loved the show. I’ve been asking my husband if he has heard when the show is coming back on? I can’t believe the ratings were low. Please bring it back with the same crew. Please! It was one of my favorite shows.
I have been waiting and waiting for the season 2 of Miami Medical to begin and now I just find out that it was cancelled???? What a mistake on their part. It was an awesome show that kept me waiting and watching every Friday!

I don’t understand how so many talented actors could have been judged so badly.
Jeremy Northam brought a sophistication typical of BBC productions. We need more, not less of what Muami Medical had to offer.
La verdad me parece una verdadera lástima que hayan sacado una serie tan buena como Miami Medical lejos en éste estilo de series es la mejor no me perdí ningún capítulo y es más los tengo grabados y los miro una y otra vez. Ojalá vuelvan a lanzar otra temporada porque fue lo mejor, un equipo tan bueno trabajando merece un gran reconocimiento y debería volver al aire!!!
