Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

Actually, we may have missed one episode. But this was one very captivating show with lots of surprises.
Hard to believe this was cancelled. The show was riveting and the only show this year that my wife and I NEVER missed. Ashley Judd and Sean Bean were fantastic.
I AM PISSED AT ABC, THEY LEFT US HANGING AT THE END OF MISSING. I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY GOOD. I LOVE CLIFF CURTIS. THEY AT ABC KEEP CANCELING ALL GOOD SHOWS ND DAYTIME SOAPS. This was a very good action packed series. It was the only show that the whole family sat and watched every week!!!! I really feel that if you were to renew it at the beginning of the season and keep it on the same night (not switch it like this season) you will get good ratings. Not sure how long it can run with each season someone new missing but I think its worth a shot for a second season. Bring it back!!!! We don’t get enough family time !!
I hate most thing on TV but this was ne of those that I wold watch when I coud using demand TV.
I just found out that Missing has been cancelled. I’m really upset. I enjoyed the program. It was exciting and edgy. I hope ABC will reconsider. Perhaps ABC could air it at a different time slot.

I’m extremely disappointed that missing is being canceled. It was a great show that my husband and I both loved! We watched it regularly and looked forward to watching it every week. It had an interesting storyline, and we never wanted it to be over. Try getting more interesting shows with story lines rather then reality tv. I’d like to see less reality tv. I think it’s a big mistake to cancel this show
I am very disappointed. I loved the plot and the locations throughout Europe were stunning. The issue was that the show wasn’t properly promoted.

Missing was an amazing show! I find it hard to believe the ratings dropped when everyone I know watched it and everyone they knew watched it! Perhaps you should take a look at your ratings system as this was one of the few good shows out there! Ashley Judd is great actress and it was so nice to see a female actress play a leading action role so well! I really hope you reconsider renewing “Missing” because the show will truly be MISSED!
My husband and I both loved this show. It was like watching a fast action movie in each episode. I am so disappointed it’s over. I think it should have started in the beginning of the season in October. I think that is when most viewers look forward to all the new and up coming shows. I just think viewers already had their favorite line-ups and they didn’t want to give it a chance. Missing was exceptional! Everyone I told about missing was hooked when they watched it! I am sorely disappointed!
