Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

so so disappointed!! I loved all the actors and each and every episode. I just went onnline to find out when the program started for this season and I am very annoyed. I agree that each time a good show comes on the networks cancel them
this is bs everytime i love a show they take it off, and i participated in neilson survey only to show that i watch this show in soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so very dissappionted went looking for it to see when season two started and found this. argghh. It’s like a good book that isn’t going to be finished 🙁

I think the show did not run enough for people to get to know the show. I looked forward to every Thursday to watch Missing with my husband. I am very disappointed that it is not being renewed. TRY one more season!!!!!
This was the most exciting show that has ever been put on tv!! I loved it and never missed an episode! I was so looking forward to the new season and am extremely disappointed! Maybe a different time slot would have made a difference with some people. It was full of action, drama, suspense… And had a great story line! I loved this show!! They cancel great shows like this, but keep shows that are so stupid!!
I asked my son when the new programs were coming out for this season only to discovered by checking on line that Missing had been cancelled. I watched every show twice and couldn’t wait for this season to start. I made sure I was home that night. I don’t get too excited about programs but I just loved this one. Lots of actions, great actors and scenery. The Rating Department never asked me. Searching now on another channel. Very disappointed.
This was such a great show. basically my whole family made it a tradition to watch it every Thursday and if we all couldn’t watch it together, one of us would have DVRed it until we all had the chance to watch it together as a family.. We were very pleased with the show and extremely upset and dissappointed it has been cancelled! PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING IT BACK ABC! WE (the fans) LOVE ABC and MISSING. Again please bring it back!!!!

Missing was a great show. Action pack and a tear jerker. I am very upset that this show was cancelled. My mother grandmother and I watched this show every week and loved it. This gave alot of families time to sit down and watch a great show. ABC bring it back please!!!!!

Pour acting, so so story line -not at all surprised it didn’t make it past one season. Probably got as much view time as it did because there wasn’t anything better on at the same time. Am truly amazed it made it through a full season.
Finally something worth watching on Tv & they cancel it. Unbelievable!!!!! That show kept me on the edge of my couch. I was excited for the new season. BRING IT BACK PLEASE.
