Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Love the Nashville show–definately a keeper! It is a whole new twist and has great music with the drama…can’t beat it.
The article mentioned Revenge had a better rating in the same time slot last year-I did not get into the Revenge show at all. Horrible. BUT I LOVE NASHVILLE!!!

I have been a faithful fan since episode 1 along with my family.. the show is literally the best out there right now!!!!! DOOO NOOOTTTTT CANCELL!!!! Everything else is a flop.

HATE country music, but love this show! It’s more country/pop/rock-ish and all the vocals are great. Love to hear Gunnar and Scarlett sing together. And both Deacon and Liam are hot – would love to see Raina with either of them! Hope it gets renewed! Didn’t watch at the beginning because of the country music angle, but heard good stuff about it and caught up on abc.com, and now watch every week. ABC renew this!

Nashaville is absolutely awesome. I love the old school versus new school story line; I enjoy the fact that the divas are shown in every day life situations. I love the secrets, flaws, missed opportunities, naïveness, innocence, selling soul for goal. Absolutely, a well constructed and true to form show. NEVER cancel. We want more!
I love this show! PLEASE don’t cancel it! I’m picky about my drama shows, and this is a good one! If anything cancel some medical shows, there’s too many of those!

This show is fun to watch and must see tv forme. It is,indeed, a treat and should not be canceled. Good television is hard to find and NASHVILLE IS GOOD TELEVISION………….
