Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I love this show! I watch it faithfully ever Wednesday night. Why would you cancel this series when there are SO many crappy shoes that I would never watch. It is so entertaining with the story line and the great singing! And I’m not even a country music girl, I like rock. That says a lot about the show.
Do NOT cancel Nashville. It’s the only program I watch on tv except White Collar
and some PBS. I have watched it on an iPad with the tv station ABC. I love the music.

Love the show, I hope ABC keeps the show.. If they cancel anything they need to cancel Neighbors.. Nashville is a great series and hasn’t had the opportunity to take off just yet, ABC needs to give it a little more time.. Nashville isn’t done promoting Nashville..

love the show, the cast is super and love the story. the way theses shows are rated is not right. So many people love this show. I watch it every week and if i can not see it i dvr it. it makes you not want to watch some show cause if the average person like it we lose it. please keep it on.
One of the best t.v. programs I’ve seen in years. The acting, directing, dialog and script are excellent, and Connie Britton is a brilliant actress.
Nashville is a fantastic show. The mix of drama, sarcasm, fast paced plot lines and the superior music is so enjoyable. The actors’ mix of talent and musical chops is impressive. I am in my 40s, living in a major metro suburb, and along with all my well-educated Mom friends have purchased the album and talk about the show all the time. We are the demographics you want. Please give us another season. And please have Rayna and Deacon spend more time together. And please sing more songs. Superb show!
This show was a complete surprise to me. Love it. Love the cast. Love the music. Nice to watch something that doesn’t take place in NY/Chicago/DC/LA. And the big aurprise is that I like the musical numbers unlike the over the top camp of Glee and Smash.
