How well does Jessica Pearson adapt to life in Chi-Town during the first season of the Pearson TV show on USA Network? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Pearson is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Pearson season one episodes here. *Status update below.
A USA Network legal and political drama, Pearson stars Gina Torres, Morgan Spector, Bethany Joy Lenz, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, Isabel Arraiza, and Chantel Riley, DB Woodside, and Betsy Brandt. The Suits spinoff centers on Jessica Pearson (Torres) who, after being disbarred, left New York City for the rough and tumble world of Chicago politics. Now she serves as the fixer for the Windy City’s working-class Mayor Bobby Novak (Spector), who is up for reelection. Jessica is just trying to reconcile her competitive nature and desire to win with her goal of doing the right thing.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of the Pearson TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should USA Network cancel or renew Pearson for a second season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*11/1/19 update: USA Network has cancelled the Pearson series so there won’t be a second season.
Please don’t cancel Pearson. I love Jessica!
LOved Pearson! ! Hope it will return . Give it five stars! Better than suits !
I really like the show and I hope it’s renewed. I enjoy the entire cast as well
I love Pearson! Gina is awesome! I grew up in Chicago and the show is on the money about the Chicago machine. The show is exciting, gripping and leaves you wanting more and more. This is show of all shows,
the best in storytelling. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait for season two, please.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but I loved her in Suits so I wanted to give it a chance. And I am so glad I did. I absolutely love this show. Not just the show but the entire cast.
There is so much trash on TV these days that everytime there is an exceptional show, it dg EOS cancelled. I hope they decide to keep Pesrson on for a very long time. I lost Suits, don’t take this away as y too.
Like this show. I hope they keep it around for next season.
I absolutely adore this show. It started off quite slow but I believe it was necessary to get the real jist of what kind of drama this was. I applaud that the show is not a Suit 2.0, but rather an immersive drama that is easily identifiable. I honestly hope it returns for a season 2, it is truly a step in the right direction.
I was enjoying the Pearson show, am a big fan of Suits and was pulling for this show until they get to a scene where the mecican was sitting at the table saying “mama went to the ICE agency and hasn’t come back”. I shut it off immediately and will no longer watch. I am trying to enjoy your show but you want to get political! Forget it! You just alienated half your audience! Too bad, I was enjoying the show up until then.
I was enjoying the new series until present day politics with ICE and DACA were introduced into it.
There is so much discourse in today’s environment I don’t want to turn on the TV and see more of it. Stay neutral and avoid these hot button issues and maybe people can enjoy the acting,
Chicago politics IS slimy. The corruption runs deep. As season progresses, viewers are learning about the players. Maybe a bit slow as plot and characters evolve. It’s definitely picking up. Most TV series present, then develop, characters. Fortunately, I’m barely patient and am waiting to find out what happened or who got to Jessica in the premier. I really like show and pray “Pearson” survives.
I love this show, Gina Torres is a great/stylish actress! I look forward to seeing this show on Wednesday nights!!
I’m very interested, though it have a slow start ..it will take over. Actually most of the main hot hitting shows have started out slow…even taking a a whole season and then you’re hooked…. I have faith
Didn’t make me care about the characters or the plot…..Won’t even watch episode 2
I so wanted to like this show but it bored me to tears. She is a good actress but honestly, the rest of the cast is mediocre and I couldn’t feel empathetic at all. We will try one more episode before giving up on it.
Do you know if there will be another season of the PBS “ENDEAVOR”?
